Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

Hey Plis did you saw both of the demos? Whaddaya think?

Graphics are superb, but I hate the tagging soldiers thing and the ridiculousness of the holographic map in the 70's. And I see the moronic blind spot is back for soldiers, BB was out in the open as the one guy walks past him before he CQC'd him.

There's always Arkham 3 next gen. :lol

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

never knew MGS 4 actually had Multiplayer,

is it actually fun?

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

I had some fun with MGO but the maps were way too customizable. After a while you wouldnt be able to get in games if you were over a rank or under or had too good of a K/D or too bad of one, stuff like that. It got annoying.

Also for all the DLC you had to use the PS3s browser to access them and buy direct from KONAMI in the most cumbersome and redundant three hours of downloading you have ever participated in your entire life.

ohh yeaa I know Iam just hoping for PS4 release day one.

I am sure they would have said so by now.

Yeah that DLC was retardedly handled.

I really enjoyed it before all the the extra skills and dlc were added, it really messed it up... imo; I still want to play it occasionally though

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

Mixed feelings.

Well, I think it's pretty clear that this game isn't going to be big hit with many of the fans - at least, not like how MGS 3 was. To me, it just seems less of an MGS game, and more of an advertisement for the pretty graphics of the FOX Engine.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

It looks pretty much just like PW. I dont like that.

There was nothing wrong with PW mechanics and gameplay, all the retardedness came from the AI, literally :lol

Which from the looks of the demo it seem to have returned :panic:

Word is, the AI was provisional for the show, I can only hope.

I'd even be happy if MGS4 AI came back.

I disagree. There was a lot wrong with PW but you can read about 200 pages of that in this thread and others.

I had a feeling that this would be a bigger version of PW when they started talking about calling in Helicopters to pick you up back when they announced it. When they release another MGS collection and it has this game in it,then I will buy it.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

The introduction of vehicles completely eradicates this even being called MGS.

I love how he is driving with the headlights on, getting stuck, backing up and driving out of the patrol route and no one notices.

Metal Gear Solid V
TACTICOOL ACTION ACTION

I mean, all the retardedness as far as gameplay is concerned, I'm familiar with your gripes against PW.

How? Not trying to start anything, personally I think every game where Solid Snake is not the main character shouldn't be called MGS, for obvious reasons, but how do driveable vehicles change the identity of the game? I mean, since MGS1 there have been vehicles and you have been ON moving vehicles, the only difference now is that you can drive them.

Its not just the AI tho. The ridiculous amount of repetitiveness in that games with the recycled boss battles a thousand times and just how far your Sleeping darts go (which seems to be coming back for MGSV) its stupid easy to eliminate people with super charged CQC (which also seems to be coming back) to name a few.
