Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

Y'know what linear game did an open world sequel brilliantly? Batman Arkham City. Why? Because even the basic mechanics of Arkham Asylum seem to be ready to accommodate an open world.

I'm sorry, I'm truly sorry but the firefight in the daytime demo made Snake seems like a rat trying to escape a loading garbage truck. It doesn't have the finesse of say, The Last of Us or Tomb Raider where combat feels immediate and organic.

Hence the radar, tagging and detective mode to cope with this clumsiness. Big Boss always struck me a a soldier who relied on his intellect & physical prowess rather than having an app telling him where the chopper should land.

Yup. Big Boss shouldn't have advanced tech at all. He's a Cold War soldier, who's supposed to use outdated equipment, and instinct for basic survival. He should have an AP sensor instead of a holograph watch, or whatever :slap

Considered everyone blocked me I think I can say what I want and nobody would know.

Well Dylan and Solidus blocked you, you're approaching that with me since you got to be the most thick headed asinine member I've ever encountered on SSF.

You haven’t blocked me because you have some sort of feelings?

So far this game looks great, I like the direction the series is going in, and if you can’t take that, block me.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

What do you need to do to be a mod in this section?

For one you can't ask to be one, Dave said that in the questions section. There needs to be more mod eyes on this section. The 3 that there is don't really pay attention as far as I can see.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

At least with Gasper you can have a logical argument.

Because he knows what an opinion it, after hearing Kiefer, his hype for the game seems to have died down, and I understand that. I don’t need to find a gif to try and make him change his mind.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

I'm not nominating anyone or myself, we just need someone to root out knuckleheads.

I got infractions anyway :lol

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

I've contemplated it, myself. There's way too much nonsense that goes on around here. If not the potatoes, or "Stigs" it's the turtles.

There is. The gifs the silly posts i’m guilty myself on some of that.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

I think all of you guys are being silly..

pturtle is getting way too worked up, and so are you.

Then you just have the random stupid, inane comments like "well if they like x, they're just stupid."

It's all right to be a fan of earlier games, but don't impose your views on other people and vice versa. Neither the Phantom Pain "haters" (for a lack of a better word for it) nor the fans.

Especially when you come into a TPP fan-thread to come and bash it incessantly. We get it, you don't like it. Now please try to refrain from cramming your disliking of a game down people's throats. Thank you.

And no, I am not hyped for TPP, and I don't ride Kojima's crotch. I also liked Hayter, and I was willing to give Kiefer a chance. I still am, but so far, he's been disappointing me.

But please, stop it with the stupidity.
