Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

I have this crazy, crazy theory. It seems none of the U.S VAs for the game said anything about their involvement in MGSV, we only found out about reprising their roles after watching the English intro. While they're clearly under NDA, the only person to come forward with the David Hayter issue is Quinton Flynn, and we all know he's probably not doing MGSV.

Don't you find it funny that none of the VAs stood up for Hayter? I have this suspicion that we're playing as another clone or an impersonator. He'd better be, considering that ponytail.

There are a ton of cool theories on that online, some fans really did their homework and brought up some interesting stuff.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

Harry Gregson-Williams only does the cutscenes.

I think in a recent interview Kojima said he was describing what he wanted from him for the in-game music, but I'll have to hunt down the link

They truly were, but the voice doesn't seem to fit with the new BB model, probably cause it has Sutherland all over it.

Yeah it's the face model, Hayters voice doesn't suit it. I think big boss from MGS4 would suit it better. I'm actually a fan of Keifer, he's a stellar actor but I don't think he suits Snake either. Maybe I'll get used to it, but a big issue is all I hear is Bauer.

Also they initially tried to get Kurtz Russell to do the voice, now that would have been perfect

They did? that would have been awesome.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

It hasn't been stated yet, but it's looking likely that it's one game. In the demo shown of Ground Zeroes, the menu said Metal Gear Solid V The Phantom Pain mission Ground Zeroes. The map is also supposed to be significantly smaller the what we will be seeing in the phantom pain

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

So, how the heck does Kojima plan to release this thing? Is it going to be on two Blu Rays - one for GZ and the other for TPP? Or will they be distributed via DLCs?

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

Kojima's been way too inspired by Assassin's Creed II, where the Ezio trilogy was originally meant to be a single game, but Ubisoft separated it into three different releases. It's pretty ridiculous that both Ground Zeroes and The Phantom Pain are labeled as MGS V.

He also likened MGS V to a "TV series", instead of the theatrical movie-format from the previous games. So, I'm guessing that there are bound to be some paid DLCs coming out as well... :slap

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

Didn't Kojima or someone said that GZ will be out first & TPP later?
If it's a dlc, imagine how large the file would be.....

Seeing no one has posted this (but should have seen it), so here goes

The weapon slot interface reminds me of portable ops & the jumping animation looks funny

I didn't know that we could pull enemy down in PW, lol.

o plz no DLC ..

most MGS games had a "prequel" Chapter..

MGS 2 had the Tanker Mission.. MGS 3 had the Virtuous Mission.. and MGS V got the Ground Zeroes mission .
