Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

Plis, Tell me what do not like about. I'm about 6 hours in, gonna do my first heist.

Well first of all the online feels like more trouble than it's worth. The heists are fun, but that's the only part that stands out from the story mode. I think the map isn't all that great and the replay value sucks. In all honesty, I've never gotten so bored with a GTA so fast.

It's worth buying I guess, but it didn't meet the hype in the least. And I was very much looking forward to it. I haven't played it in about a week.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

Wow, so GTAV isn't as versatile as San Andreas? I thought it was at least as big and had at least as much to do in there as that did, considering it was a PS2 title...

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

It is and it isn't. It's improvement, but some of the choices R* made on V don't make sense. Especially the multiplayer debacle. I know the guys in the GTA thread probably think I'm crazy with my opinion but so be it.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

What's up with the multiplayer? (so I don't have to wade through pages of the thread)

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

Last I heard R* said stay off multiplayer because your created character gets deleted for whatever reason. They did release a patch but I don't know if it cleared it up or not. I hate how they tried to make the online like COD and you got to earn all the weapons. I'd rather just turn it on and ****ing play it. And the character creation is absolutely terrible.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

I don't mean to troll the thread by asking this, but how does GTA V's character creation compare to Saints Row The Third?

Night and Day. Everyone in GTA looks like a Tranny. In SR you can essentially make any face you can think of.

Troll away better then talking about Big boss.

Ps. The GTA online is a blast with few friends (with frequent LMAO moments) .... But I found that my character was deleted on Sunday night :gah:

There seems to be a lot of skepticism on the gaming mechanics, so I'm glad it's not just the people here. I'd seriously like to turn off that tagging feature. It seems too futuristic for the timeline of this game.
