Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

Omg Dante and Vergil. Uuuunfff. I pretend DMC4 doesn't exist. Lala land

Yeah it's bad, DMC3 set the bar for the entire series. DMC3 is the best hack and slash game ever made. Absolutely LOVE the soundtrack to it.

I'd love a Lady figure :drool

My thoughts exactly. I'm still unsure about The Crow figure. Kind feel like he's off, but he does look great. I would rather have a closed mouth expression, and he's pricey, but I might get him. It's the Crow after all.

Yup, down with the big C (and K), lol. I'm surprised Hot Toys never picked up DMC, it's so toyetic.

I like the designs from DMC4, I think Nero is pretty cool. Game.. so-so.

Yeah I don't feel the sculpt for Crow, and his hair length is off.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

A Hot Toys Dante would be off the charts, as long as they did a great job. DMC3 did set the bar high, man, I need to finish replaying 1 so I can get to 2 to get to 3. lol.

Yeah, not only is the hair length off, but the head seems a tad big and a bit wider than it should be. I would like to think they'll be doing revisions, but I fear it could end up like ASM. Aka go from looking decent and fairly accurate to WTF? Maybe I'll just secure a PO with BBTS for now and hold off PO from SS.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

Exactly, especially considering the VG series is known for doing variant releases. Start with the Tiger Stripe, then do the Sneaking Suit as a variant. Perfect, everyone's happier. Sometimes I feel like I will never get good figures from the games that made these franchises what they are today. MGS1, DMC1, RE1/RE2, so on and so forth. I hope MGSV performs in whatever way leads to Solid Snake returning in a new Metal Gear game. I'm glad to see the games leading up to my favorite era again.

They won't lead up to anything the new games will get have more big boss SS don't exist in Mgs anymore.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

Solid Snake is nothing more than a distant memory, or a passing wind. The series has be overtaken by the Big Bawz, who is practically the main character of this entire thing. I honestly don't even know why I still follow MGS anymore :lol.

I don't think I can choose between the two.

You can't beat Solid Sack, I mean Snake. Just give us a MGS1 interquel already.

No doubt about it. There's just so much untapped potential in Snake's storyline: his work with Philanthropy, his days as a rookie in Foxhound, the events between MGS 2 and 4, etc. Sadly, Kojima doesn't appreciate him a lot from what he mentioned in his most recent interview :slap.

I'll start loving this series again if (and only if) Snake returns - and that's probably wishful thinking on my part.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

There is truly a LOT to tell about him, and hearing Kojima say he prefers Big Boss cause of his humanity is just weird, SS has every bit it not more humanity than BB, so that would mean he doesn't know his own character, that's why I lean to think he's just trolling.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

Hey Solidus I can't send you any more PM's cause you're so popular :lol

I wanted to send you this one:
Oh no, they're about Yaoi right? No, then no thanks :lol I thought they were about freaky stuff, but Yaoi no thanks bud :lol

Spare me the pain.

:goodpost: :lecture

Plus, the fact that so many fans are able to connect with Snake is evidenced enough that he is "human". Just look at that awesome handshake that he and Otacon invented. Also, Snake is the type of dude who never wants to show up to work, but only does it because he's coerced by the higher ups. I'd much rather sleep in and drink a few beers, myself :lol.

Oh, sorry man, my inbox gets filled too fast :lol. I just cleared up some space. I hope Dave increases the mailbox capacity in the next forum update, because a 100 message limit is way too little :slap.

:rotfl:rotfl :exactly:

He's just as hermit as I am, in fact everytime I play it again and they take him away of his home in Alaska, I often think :" noooo, leave him there, he's so cosy and happy with his dogs" :lol

Exactly :lol. Snake just wants an easy-going life like the rest of us, but "the man" just won't leave him in peace. I can connect with that so much more, than Big Boss and his quest for revenge and destruction of the world.

Now I miss Snake again :monkey2

If Kojima doesn't deliver at least the remakes, forget death threats, let's send him all the Yaoi stuff :lol
