Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

Speaking of VA, it's a shame that Plissken game never got made because Russell would undoubtedly VA it.

Or the proposed anime..

Or the proposed TV show..

I remember reading about the game in an issue of PSM and nearly died of joy. :lol

I wouldn't of minded seeing a Old Snake Plissken, but I think Russell is retired from action films and plus I think he's too old to do so.

Or, translators like Anges Kaku :slap.

She was thrown under the bus and blamed for their micromanaging bull ****.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

I don't think anyone would have a problem with a change of VA if in Snake Eater it was never Hayter to begin with.

Yea, but Kojima was too much of a wimp to do that because fans were crying they needed more Solid Snake, after MGS2. Now it seems he’s taking the initiative and heat by finally separating Big Boss and Solid.

No, that's not why he has been taking heat.

Too late.

Not trying to cause more arguments, but a lot of the hate I see on here about the game are people tired of “whiney Big Boss” and want to play as Solid Snake. Oh and Hayter being replaced

Big Boss is whiney, how many games does he need to harp on the Boss?

That's why I said, the reason he's taking heat, is not because he's "separating" Big Boss from Solid Snake. But, those are the correct reasons, which you've ironically stated :lol.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

And I know I am sounding like a Kojima-yes man but, his trolling is great. He seems to do it at the right times to keep everyone talking about the game, keeping us interested and excited until the game comes.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

And he's not separating Big Boss from Snake at all given he's still siphoning off Snake's line. And still going by ****ing Snake.

I guess to him any chatter no matter how anger fueled it is, is good chatter nonetheless.

In all honesty, I think if he would have thrown Hayter a retirement party from play Snake, and had everyone at Kojipro buy him gifts, fans would still hate Kojima and say he was treating Hayter bad.

Without Hayter there wouldn't be a Western market as big as it is right now.

It's getting tiring, to be honest. I'd appreciate if he were a little more forthcoming for once, instead of being just "plain ol' Kojima". It's very routine for him to toy with the fans in absurd (or sometimes frustrating ways like the Hayter incident).

Well, most of that bad chatter is on this site, everywhere else people are pretty excited and still look at Kojima as a god. A lot of forums I see people are discussing theories left and right. It is smart the way he goes about promoting his games. The Phantom Pain trailer was awesome when it got released. I had no clue it was an MGS title when it was first shown.

Not really. The Hayter fans were pissed because he was metaphorically, given the finger by Kojima and a Konami rep, and simply told, "we don't need you anymore".

If it were done in a more gracious way, a lot of the hate could have been averted. A lot of people would still be pissed, but no as pissed as they have been up to now.

They had something special :lol
