Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

Without Hayter there wouldn't be a Western market as big as it is right now.

I doubt that man, MGS1 was an awesome game. Hayter and the other voice actors were awesome in it, but thats what we grew up on and its weird to our ears hearing someone else playing him.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

He does even at the end of MGS 4 :slap

He talked so much for a dying man with all those grandiose statements that I literally had tears and yelled "shut up already!". My gf even fell asleep when she first saw that scene and was afraid I might get upset over it. :lol

Snakes, boss, cats, zero, numbers, Teletran-1, SHUT UP!

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

Well, most of that bad chatter is on this site, everywhere else people are pretty excited and still look at Kojima as a god. A lot of forums I see people are discussing theories left and right. It is smart the way he goes about promoting his games. The Phantom Pain trailer was awesome when it got released. I had no clue it was an MGS title when it was first shown.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

pturtle is right, I was just talking with other people about the Kid in omega being Solid Snake and stuff

Some people here are really angry :lol they better stay that way after the game lauches, ot they will lose credibility :lecture

Personally, I'm hyped about the game, I get used to change very easily so... :dunno

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

Its true, look at Facebook, gamespot, youtube, MGSforums. All those places have what you would call Kojima yes men.

That's why I don't go to those places. I keep getting cursed out on Facebook. And on YouTube, I simply asked "Do you guys believe that Quiet is Sniper Wolf", and got death threats from some English and Russian kids.

The Yes Men are the exact reason why Kojima is allowed to do as he pleases, since they accept all the dramatic changes he wants to do.

:rotfl was that a joke or you actually meant that?

Its impossible to talk to people about this stuff on facebook, it feels like talking to monkeys

Since these games are still fresh in your head, I think you should give it some time, to really think through this series. It took me years, multiple play-throughs of every game, and endless debate to reach the opinions I have today on MGS.

I'm not saying that "my opinion is better than yours", but I get the feeling that you don't really understand where I (and a few others) are really coming from on this.

:goodpost:

You've said this before, but I can't agree enough.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

Not that I blame anyone at all. At face value, we must look like a bunch of ****** bags :lol.

Seriously, you don't :lol

I do, because I know how you all talk and that means I know how you guys think bacause I've seen what you said about other games and topics

You know how I think too. I'm just adaptable and I rarely agree with most people when it comes to videogames, I already said I try to see things in a different way, beyond the obvious.

I was just saying I wouldn't like to see someone that complains so much saying "oh wait... this game wasn't that bad after all!"

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

I always miss the Kojima bashing.
Why :(

btw it seems my suspicions for MGSV's collector's edition were correct, alebit not to the extent I wanted. Japan's getting GZ Big Boss, though a metallic color version...Just like White Raiden all over again. U.S. doesn't seem to be getting anything of the sort

And that's fine, too :). But, I do find it annoying when people constantly feel the need to cast aside sincere reactions from dedicated fans simply as "hate". There's a lot more to it than that. Kojima has been doing odd-ball stuff for years, and he only seems to be getting worse. Some of us are just very frustrated, to see what's been happening to this series.

I've lost all love for it. I've been just going with the flow since MGS4.
