Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

Oh I'm sorry I didn't know I hurt your feelings, welcome to the internet. Just drop the issue already and move on with your life.

Okay, but only because you said so...... :rotfl

Anywho, anyone have an idea who Kaz was referring to at the beginning of the trailer when he said "what about HIM"? The camera seemed to be in 1st person, as if there was a third patient in the room observing the hospital staff resuscitate Snake. Or was that simply Keifer Sutherlan's mystery character?

Hahaha lackey, I am my own man. A man that respects others other than yourself and your lackies.

That's a good one. You used the same term I used to refer to you to refer to.... wait, who are you referring to? I haven't noticed anyone agreeing with every little thing I've said. Perhaps you're not familiar with the meaning of lackey? It's okay, I'll wait while you Google it.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

It's not Sutherland, the guy brought in with BB and Kaz was obviously someone they already knew. Ishmael introduced himself to BB as if it were the first time.

No, that was actually Kojima himself, he said so in the GTs interview.

He was looking at his own creations, he said.

Say what? Why would he integrate himself into the game? That seems pretty narcissistic to me. Reminds me of the DmC director mirroring Dante's likeness to himself.

Maybe it's just a trailer thing? But why stick it in there when only he himself would know the meaning?

Really? I find that a little disappointing. I still hope he is just trying to throw us off.

If it's just a trailer thing that's one thing, but it better not make it into the game if that is really supposed to represent himself. Not because I think it's egotistical, but because it would serve no purpose in the story.

I don't think he added himself into the game, just into the trailer, but that doesn't differ from the various charades, word games and for his name such that Kojima has implemented in his marketing campaigns for the rest of the games, just his regular silliness.

That's what I assume as well. More often than not, early trailers for MGS game usually have no baring to the final product since it's a early build and they build elements strictly for the trailers.

Like with the first MGS3 trailer and the early trailers for MGS4.

While a tad disappointing, that would at least still be okay.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

I'd like to mention that I would not mind buying that head sculpt myself.

It's just silly to look at, maybe if it came with his head and his frail looking body :lol

I wouldn't be surprised if PAK re released PW Sneaking Suit version with a Bandana-less headsculpt.

Remember he was actually in PW as a recruitable character too, he resembles to Stan Lee and M. Night Shyasfasdfassamalan in this matter.

Wait, wait, wait. Didin't he say that the third guy, the spectator is " You - the viewer"? As in somehow he represents the watchers of the trailer (though obviously that's just a metaphor for now, the third man will surely be an in-game character).

That's at least what I've read in one article somwhere, though it might have been poor translation from japanese.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

I wonder if Hot Toys pursues the MGS line and they end up doing this license will people have the same problem with another Sneaking Suit version.

I think I was only one of a handful that didn't mind the MGS3 suit.

I haven't read that, but in the GTs review he says that it's him, of course there's nothing that keeps you from viewing that concept as "you" per say, I find it valid.

Here's the interview: [ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mu_GwC2hyFU"]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mu_GwC2hyFU[/ame]

Skip up to 05:30 and he says it there.
