Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

That's definitely my favorite suit as well.

Mine too, well my fav fav is the one in MGS1, but this one is definitely in the top 3, the Jungle Fatigues from PW too, I'm actually thinking of buying the BB with sneaking suit by Play arts, or maybe the one by Revoltech but the face is way off in Revoltech's...

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

I might be in minority here, but my favourite look of Snake, was always the Iroquois Plisskin one. Not only becouse he rocked that Seal Team 6 suit, but also couse I strongly believe that MGS 2 whole "looking at Snake from Raiden's perspective", only served to make Snake look more badass.

Hot Toys Iroqouis Pliskin with a proper in-game-model headsculpt (rather than the Che Guevara lookalike) is my personal dream.

Snake certainly rocked the iroquois look. However, if the head sculpt wasn't done to perfection, my concern would be that he would look too generic in that outfit.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

id like an IP figure but i feel it wont happen due to he was basically a farce. he was solid obviously the whole time so i see solid being made if anything.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

True. He could look like a run of the mill "Dragon" military 1/6 figure. Even with the proper head, he might still look like one.

But You know what? Thats a problem for the outsiders, the non-fans :D. Even if he would look like a normal special forces guy, the important thing is that I woudl know what the figure is supposed to truly represent, and know that its awesome :)

Besides, without a proper headscultp, no amount of fancy, MGS-specific gear would save the figure in my eyes. I still dream of a HS that would bring back the in-game look of Snake from MGS2, or even some of the less generic Shinkawa sketches. Perhaps now with the renewed public hype for MGS, Hot Toys will have another crack at Big Boss/S Snake, and make a headsculpt to end all Snake headsculpts.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

I love the change in attitude now that I've exposed the hypocrisy.

My job here is done. Good job guys! :lol

Yup. I did it. You're not repeating the same old garbage and are effectively talking about something else regarding Metal Gear. You're also not currently insulting anyone in your not so subtle manner. I fixed the thread.

Anyway, kind of surprised the correlation between the title and a phantom limb wasn't immediately realized by some. It's the first thing that came to mind when I saw the teaser last year. Btw, are there any theories on the "V has come to" line at the end of the trailer? Going to hate myself if it's something obvious.

Fixed the thread? :slap By those several pages of personal attacks that I just read, I think you've pretty much exposed your own hypocrisy in this matter.

Here's a tip Stig: if you don't agree with what someone has to say, or if you don't like a particular conversation, feel free to use the ignore feature (a few others have suggested it to you in vain). Carrying on like that for pages on end doesn't make the other person look bad, as much as yourself.

Interesting stuff about the trailer... some could just theories but at this stage? we really cant tell just yet https://www.gametrailers.com/videos...-v--the-phantom-pain-pop-block--debut-trailer

Lol that's part of the excitement, making **** up to kill the time while the game get's released, some of that **** usually ends up being true, personally I enjoy making **** up.

Solidus
, one question, how does one activate the "ignore" feature? I don't want to put anyone there yet, but just in case, I'm such a noob when it comes to vbulletin.

Click on "User CP" on the green menu bar at the top of the page. Once you're in the CP, locate "Your Control Panel" on the left-hand side of the screen. Under the "Settings & Options" subsection, click on "Edit Ignore List". You can then add someone to your ignore list by manually typing in their name in the entry box.

Much appreciated, I do hope I don't have to use it in the future though.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

No problem. I've used it a few times, but never kept anyone on there perpetually. I don't like to hold grudges :lol.

Oy vey. I have to say, it's a little irritating trying to come up with a response to someone who can't be bothered to actually pay attention to the points being made. I won't go into it again since I've already made it clear to Snake Plissken that I would drop the matter, but suggesting I was "personally attacking" anyone is pure nonsense. I have quoted several instances of disrespectful and inconsiderate behavior, and I am "attacking" someone for pointing them out? Excellent bit of logic there.

Ignore features have their usefulness, but they can only help so much. When I see unfounded insults and belittlement being spewed about purely on the basis on a difference of opinion, I don't like sitting idly by. While ignorance may be bliss for some, it's still ignorance to me.

The irony is that you obviously don't agree with what little you've read of my comments, yet you've decided to resurrect this particular conversation. A conversation that both parties had agreed had run it's course. Why ignore your own advice of simply ignoring those you disagree with? Did something compel you to voice your thoughts on the matter? Did you feel the need to weigh in to provide another perspective? Or was this merely an attempt to put me in my place? I have a tip for you; try to avoid ironic statements before attempting to "enlighten" anyone.

Now kindly do us all a favor, and just "ignore" this comment. :wink1:

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

I think enough has been said about the whole argument here. Both parties has agreed to drop the matter so it's just water under the bridge now (until the next one lol) so let's all get back to the game. I'm actually really excited for this game cause I want to know how BB lose his hand, if he found out about the cloning, and if he meets Solid.

For all we know that could very well be Zadornov's hand itself, remember when he fired that thing against BB in the shooting range? BB dodged it and it remained intact doing the peace sign.
