Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

thats brilliant :rotfl

Precisely :lol. It's a passable game, but at least watch the YouTube videos to get caught up.

The game is fun, but it sucks so much compared to the others, people shouldn't be allowed to make games for those stupid tiny consoles.. those things ruin everything :lol

By the way, at the end of the English trailer it was revealed that BB rescued the wrong hostage, in other words it wasn't Chico. There ya go, genius tactician with an I.Q of 180 folks. :lol

Hope it's not canon to the plot.

Its not, he didn't rescue chico to avoid spoilers. Every Snake was a bit of an idiot, except Liquid, Liquid is the best

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

But, Big Boss looks like such a dumb*** in the MGS games. Not to criticize the character, but he doesn't exactly have the cut of a genius :lol.

Solid, Liquid, and Solidus on the other hand, were extremely intelligent men in their own regard.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

I'm pretty sure BB's obsession with The Boss is why he's so stupid sometimes. Really, if not for The Boss, he probably would have had no problem with Operation Snake Eater

It's pretty ridiculous how Kojima made the game for such an old and unpopular system like the PSP, and how he was lamenting afterwards about the poor sales :lol.

Good point. Women would mess with a man's brain like that :lol.

But Why didn't Solidus join the others? in the end they are all kind of going for the same goal right? get rid of the patriots.. btw, Solid could be the dumbest guy ever, he was tool right until the end of the saga, Liquid was right he lost his warriors pride

Or maybe if she was clear about what the hell she is talking about... :lol I understad what she said I think, but damn she kept talking about being a soldier, about dying for things that in 20 or maybe 30 years will be worth nothing... about following orders but then, she said the philosophers had to the reuinited.
I think Zero gets the blame for half the **** that happened after Operation Snake eater

Well, the existence of The Patriots was a closely guarded secret, even beyond government understanding, that you can't blame Solid Snake for not being privy to any type of information. Not even President Johnson in MGS 2 knew who they were.

But, the more I think about Solidus, the more I believe that pride ultimately got in the way of him joining forces with Snake. He really took all that stuff about being a "perfect clone" of Big Boss to heart, and he must have felt that Solid and Liquid (being flawed in their genes) were unworthy successors to Big Boss's legacy.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

Yeah basically. I mean every time she showed up, he never bothered to do ****. It's not just about The Boss being so much stronger, it's literally him being dumb. I think the best example is before he got tortured by Volgin, he probably could have defended himself more easily if there was someone else in The Boss's place.

:exactly::goodpost:

I agree, he never felt sympathy for anyone is seems, unlike Big Boss.. or Snake.

But I keep thinking if he would have joined Philanthropy .. damn things would be so different in MGS4

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

Wasn't Solidus manipulated by the Patriots all his life or something?

Yeah, Big Boss certainly had it really hard for his Bawzz :monkey1. I also believe that she allowed him to win in their final confrontation. The Boss was at the peak of her abilities at the end of MGS 3, while Big Boss had sustained massive injuries from being tortured by Volgin - and not to mention that he was probably exhausted from battling the Shagohod.

No, that's Snake :lol. Solidus, Liquid and Ocelot were the only ones in MGS who actually knew everything about The Patriots. But, on the thing with "manipulation", Solidus and Ocelot practically manipulated Liquid into being their "fall guy" for the Shadow Moses incident :lol. He didn't even know that Solidus even existed.

So, in a sense, both Liquid and Solid Snake were duped in different ways. But, Snake obviously had it worse.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

yup, Ocelot was pretty much a freaking hero all along :lol poor dude

Her mission was to die, she kept saying "here I come!" :lol can't be more obvious

But the way she talked.. she was always a mystery, the AI of pw was dumb as **** and Strangeloves speculation about the Boss's "sing don't fight" way of thinking... WTF that thing was totally flawed she was all about figthing!

The Boss letting BB win makes sense. Though I do believe she did not have an easy time fighting him, honestly and didn't completely hold back.

I still don't understand so much about this series. I mean I'm almost done with PW but still wtf. However I will say this

The true hero of MGS, ladies and gentlemen. And Henry. :lol
