Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

That's my overall point, a remake for me is necessary in order to give MG/MG2 story some relevance since well...it's the whole zero/bb real battle unleashed and the prime of Solid, plus the new integrations like I said before, Ocelot and Miller or even Eva

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

I think the design of the Metal Gear in the 1st MG games was cool, I dig the Maschinen Krieger buff look, and think the MG looked less advanced in those games because of the hardware limitations at the time, I really think that if Kojima could've done everything that he intended, Zeke and the Peace Walker wouldn't look so overly advanced for the time and everything would fit better.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

now that I think of it...what's going to happen with ZEKE? I mean Im not so sure if it ended up destroyed after Paz took over it or did they repair it and XOF destroys it because... see how Mother Base is getting destroyed and watch Zeke screaming of pain is going to be quite a sad moment.
Or...Zeke will be upgraded to become the one of MG/MG2?

Of course it will, the AI Strangelove was working on serve to put on the ground for the future MGs unmanned capabilities, remember that the Metal Gears are in principle unmanned machines, with their respective manual versions.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

To bad they didn't make this co-op.Would have been cool to play as Miller and Big Boss:panic:

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

Big Boss : Gimme an 'erb
Miller : here take this

i think it could work!

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

No coop please it takes the fun out of it since mgs been single player for so long.
How would it take away the fun?Its open world i thought.Plus PW was the best IMHO due to the co-op.

Agreed, BB/Snake works better alone.

Not really, it was just an extra feature on PW, more like an experiment cause it was in fact only the minority who got the chance to play PW online, you neede to have your PSP connected to your ps3 in order to play or something like that, I could have played PW online, and I did, only the competitive mode which was much like MGO and it was hella fun, but I never wanted to play Co-op, it was pointless and according to some reviews, it made the game even much easier.

I thought the game was unnecessarily easy as it was.

Yea but for some, its alot more fun to play a game with a friend instead of watching them play a game.In anycase its not like they would add co-op just putting it out there:slap

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

I fail to see the problem with adding co-op. The games I've played that have co-op do not make it mandatory, you can turn it off. Why the negativity towards adding extra features? No offense (and not directed at any post in particular), but people are so particular and demanding these days. Imagine if these companies listened to every request, games would suck or barely sell they would be so specific.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

Well it's not like I'm completely against the idea of co-op, in PW it worked great in theory, considering you had your personal army, that makes co-op make sense, in this case, considering mother base is destroyed, I don't feel co-op fits to the tone of the game, unless you get to build and army with the diamond dogs.

Personally it feels odd, it felt ok but still pointless in PW and in MGSV feels even more unnecessary.

All of this is of course my opinion.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

so the next game we'll see the transformation of Big Boss from a Good Guy to a Villain?

I hear ya, it's all opinion in the end. :)

Well, what we like it's not always the best and sometimes it is. I'm happy to have a game with all the options I want and more, it's a good way to increase the appeal without changing what the game is about. As long as the options are more about mechanics and co-op and stuff like that, lol.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

I actually believe that there must be more co-op games but not multiplayer, I miss the days of playing with 4 friends during the n64 era, now is all online and stuff... overall games need more local multiplayer options

PW I didn't mind and I think it worked with COOP. But if they're going to keep going with Big Boss as the lead, to make a solid game with a solid story it needs to be solo.

Re: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain

To this day, I have never tried Peace Walker on co-op. I really should open up my HD Collection and give it a go. Seems like it's been forever since I used my PS3 lmao...
