I enjoyed Peace Walker way more than my first playthrough because of those side ops. Hope TPP has some better side missions.

Considering how fun the the side missions of GZ were, TPP side mission will be MUCH better

btw I had to add the title to this :lol :

You know.. Ocelot the son of the Boss turned out to be one of my favourite characters ever, the dude spent 40 years trying to complete his mission, now THAT is commitment :clap

Paz kind of fell in love with Big Boss and the Mother Base, I keep thinking about Skull face.. what is his deal with Cipher, maybe Zero was involved with his past or something

Haha! Not gonna lie, while I love Liquid, he really should have just stayed in MGS1, so it was a huge sigh of relief on my part when we find out it was Ocelot all along. As an Ocelot fan myself, seeing that mega-troll being pulled was nothing short of amazing as I was scared that Kojima would just leave Ocelot out, especially with the trolling "gotcha" moments being such a huge part of the character. While MGS4 was a huge mess of a story, I won't lie in saying that Liquid Ocelot was one of the highlights for me. There's definitely something poetic about the son of Big Boss (Snake) facing off the son of The Boss (Ocelot) in the same manner of facing a designated "villain" that takes the fall for all the crimes (like with Big Boss vs The Boss), only this time something good actually came out of it.

That said, I don't think Skull Face will just be an unaffiliated character, unless Kojima had the balls to pull a TDK Joker on us and rely entirely on the character's upfront portrayal and charisma.

Yup, they are great. By the way I just killed the Eye and the Finger in 5 minutes without being seen, and still got an A. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong.

I much preferred Ocelot tricking the patriots, over the Liquid controlling arm. Playing GZ, I think Skull Face might just be, he seems to being pulling all the strings out of some sort of revenge.

I doubt the main story is that long. It's like Peace Walker with spending hours of recruiting, capturing vehicles and other things.

I knew it! time doesn't affect the rank. Tell me what you did, you got spotted? you killed more people than just those 2? did you kill the Finger before he started moving around the map?

:exactly::goodpost:

The son of the Boss vs the son of Big Boss, that is epic

Ocelot is the best :love :lol

I don't know whats the deal with Skully... I don't want 3 factions fighting each other, I want TPP focused on Big Boss and Zero, I think Skully can be an intresting character and a great villian but I really didn't expect him to go on his own, I don't know what to think about him yet :dunno

I didn’t get seen, I ran and shot the bald guy first, and right after that I sniped the guy in the tower. Could it be because I used a loud weapon or something? The whole time I was on top of the roof of one of the armory’s.

Where did you lose points on the mission ranking screen?

I know you can complete the mission by extracting both of the targets. This nets you the Depth trophy, but it takes a long time to complete without getting an enemy alert. I think I got an A ranking after extracting both of them. Maybe this is needed to get an S ranking.

I did that as well without being seen. I have the trophy. The only negative things I got in the mission, were killing the two renegades. I’m thinking I might have to exact prisoners as well. I think I’ve tried everything else :lol

I remember it perfectly, the main story in PW took me about 35 hours, playing it slowly and enjoying the stealth.

The main story didn't take long, but the extra ops and Monster Hunter missions really added to the game's length. Also, online play (in the HD edition) was also a welcomed feature.

With all this talk about PW Ima have to give it another go through before TPP. HAvent played my PW Playstation portable for a while now, still dig that color scheme. Also I bought the accessories pack below and the digi camo case fits the PS Vita like a glove. Even has a compartment for all your games.

Ocelot could have been one of the best characters in the series. He was a great character in MGS1, they ruined him in MGS2 and then took the piss outta him until MGS4. Such a shame

What they did you Ocelot is worse than what the did to Solid Snake. Terrible storytelling

He's a botched character as far as I'm concerned. From MGS 3, it was hinted that Ocelot may have inherited supernatural powers from The Sorrow to communicate with the dead. It would have been the most plausible explanation for why he was possessed by Liquid's spirit via Liquid's right arm. But, that bit of story was conveniently forgotten in MGS 4, and instead, he created the Liquid persona (and deliberately induced schizophrenia in his own mind) through psycho-therapy and drugs... -____-

Meh, the Liquid arm-thing was so ridiculous (not in terms of plausibility, but just the idea in of itself) that I'm actually glad they went for a more practical route in the end for MGS4. Yeah sure, the whole arm-thing was convoluted as hell, but I'm glad it still falls very well in line with the trolling aspect of his character that I ended up being fairly happy about it.

:exactly:

Right on all counts. Finding out it was really Ocelot all along killed any replay value for me.

I just wish if the "trolling" aspect of his character wasn't there to begin with. The double-agent/triple-agent, "oh, I'm really a good guy" nonsense was too out-of-hand.

Like you were saying, Kojima killed-off Liquid too early in MGS 1, and his persona was kept alive through Ocelot, to ensure that he was a recurring villain. Imagine how awesome it would have been if it were actually Liquid's ghost, and not Ocelot going crazy...
