I feel the same way about Chico


We were all having a nice converation about Paz and stuff I don't see the problem, lest not bring a problem out of nowhere shall we?

BTW Did anyone get the Unlocked achievement/trophy? its the only one I don't have, for now...

Mother Base was practically an afterthought in this game for the very reason that we knew what to expect from the trailers, and even more so that it was blatantly insulting to see only a short segment of it at the end. As for Paz, the entire game was focused on her being rescued, and we were given a front-seat to the sick show of torture and mutilation through Chico's tapes. Its' true, maybe the events with Paz won't have any consequence on Big Boss - I'll give you that. But, to me, her death and suffering to the extents that she went through them, serve as no purpose at all, except for Kojima to provide unnecessary "shock value" in his auteur vision to progress the gaming world, in a dark-side that no other developer has ever considered. And like I mentioned before, Skull Face is most likely a tragic character in need of redemption from the MGS "god", making Paz's suffering all the more unnecessary.

And I couldn't give a **** about Chico. **** him.

I think the fact that this is the first MGS that is so dark that makes it more shocking to people, after the cartoonish PW we get this

Precisely, I could have dealt with not having a lot of screen time of MB if the trailers didn't spoil it for us.

Yeah, the reason why Paz was an objective was because of the information she may have given away, not because of the emotional connection to Big Boss, Chico on the other hand, there was some emotional connection there, if not with you, at least between BB and Chico.

But her suffering did serve a purpose, to exemplify Skull face's villainy and to try to kill BB, I'm not saying they're nice to experience, they aren't supposed to be, but they make sense and fit the plot, short as it is.

Like I said, most villains in MGS end up redeemed in their last moments, don't see how it could render Paz's suffering unnecessary.

I lurked around. I really don't have a right to talk about RE at all, because it's been so long since I played the games (especially RE 4 in 2005) and I hardly remember any of the plots. But, the RE 6 thread didn't seem as bad as this one. I recall mostly everyone was trashing the game, and a few people who actually liked it for whatever reason .

Well any insult directed at anyone is personal isn't it? Regardless I was just expressing my opinion on the topic that they were discussing. I found it disgusting, but the matter is over there is not point in arguing about it because it could never be presented in a way that they would actually listen to. Anyway, is March 2015 the general estimate for TPP's release? My money is definitely on 2015. Kojima may even pull a huge delay on us just to keep us hanging.

I would imagine we will get a release date at E3 this year. I dont really see them having anything else to announce there other than that and maybe ( a very small maybe) MGO3.

It would be nice if this thread can get closed until TPP's release next year. But, I think it's likely that the game will get delayed, because Kojima hardly adheres to his own release schedules.

I don't like Anita Sarkessian view on most things, I largely disagree with her cause she sometimes sees misogyny where there's none, I have agreed with her some times, albeit very rarely, and I disagreed with one of the articles of that IGN girl, I've never read any other of her articles 2 isolated yet related cases, yet you immediately threw claims about me hating women who have opposite opinions to mine, which is far from the truth, in fact one of my favorite if not the favorite reviewer is a girl, CBG19, and I love to see well written female characters, leads or not.

The subject matter remains, that if it was Chico the one that exploded, the issue would have not arose so much attention.
