I always enjoy open world games when they are really objective oriented and provide different ways to tackle a situation, and not just willy nilly without a plan violence like GTA.

As a difficulty snob I find "some players won't be able to complete it" a pleasing call for a challenge.

I think Uncharted 4 is releasing in 2015 as well, that definitely has a chance at being the best game of 2015, especially with TLOU directors now leading development.

Arkham Knight and The Phantom Pain are pretty much going to be awesome in the gameplay department, I just hope their stories are as good as their predecessors.

So where is this disturbing trailer I keep hearing about? I cant imagine it cant be more disturbing then the boss stories in metal gear solid 4.

Well, we already got a pretty brutal trailer from Ground Zeroes, I don’t know if you’re talking about that trailer, or the one set for E3 that hasn’t released yet.

Heres the Ground Zeroes trailer, the first half is kind of hard to watch (for a game at least), everything after that is epic.

Now that you say it yes, its true everything about MGS figures is very random even the scale :lol
That's because PAK does not give a **** about scale. :lol Revoltech...is dumb. Period. No questions asked. And they might do a regular size Solid Snake but their minis are too overpriced (Mark VI for $32 at barely above 4 inches and pitiful accessories? NOPE. I'd rather buy the Hot Toys Mark VI with after market prices :rotfl )

@Ryan I agree on all ends. Although people complained, the nice thing about Arkham City having a smaller world was that they could make it far more detailed. I spent so long at each display in the museum, and I couldn't believe how much effort Rocksteady put in it. I probably won't use the Batmobile much, so I can explore every nook and crany. I just think the traversal system with the grapple is so cool. I loved seeing the snow gather on your cape.

Being that it's so huge, I wonder how many difficulty options there will be. If you have to unlock the highest difficulty, I may just beat the main story, and then do every side mission on the highest difficulty.

That would sound like a hassle honestly. It works for Uncharted, The Last of Us, God of War and Devil May Cry (for in Uncharted's case, you need to beat it on the hardest available difficulty and DMC, you beat it on every previous difficulty) being linear and not too long but Phantom Pain which is an open-world game, that could be annoying.

As much as I hate Revoltech I ended up buying their Raiden and Snake :gah: I hate myself

Oh man it hurts to even read that :lol that would make it impossible to unlock European Extreme, or Afghan Extreme or however its called in this game, that will be unlockable when you finish the main story I believe

But I'd be nice if there are a few unlockables like extra missions, weapons, skins... or even soldiers for Outer Heaven. I bet there will be soldiers that look like MGS characters

BTW

HAPPY BIRTHDAY OCELOT!

It's 2014 so this will be his last one. He was pretty good.

Another good informative video from Yongyea, by the way, at the 4:50 mark I laughed for about 5 minutes straight, I am now a fan of Yongyea.

There shouldn't be any theories or uncertainties about what happens inside the box. Not after the beach in Peace Walker... that much was clear :monkey3 :wink1:

Well, at least now, you wouldn't have to spend hours (or days), fetching bodies all the way across the map to a recovery point :lol.

I think it's startling how Ground Zeroes seems so much more like a "demo" than ever before, with all of these increasingly new additions to TPP. I wonder if cardboard boxes, hiding in trash containers, fulton recovery, etc, will ever be included in GZ, if there's ever a comprehensive release for "MGS V".

Anyone else think we might see a young child soldier Drebin show up in MGSV?

He seemed pretty young in MGS4, but that would be interesting. Watching that video, there may be a big tonal dissonance from cutscenes to gameplay, but there is that funky horn, so who knows! I'm sure we'll learn a lot at E3.

Yea, I was thinking he might be too young, I hope the E3 trailer is satisfying, but not too spoilery.
