Thanks for sharing. This will b game of the year for sure.

It sure looks like it will, but I can see that going to Fallout 4. Those games always win the most awards.

This will definitely be my GOTY though.

I love that D walker, I hope revolmini releases a figure of that cool robot.

Also, I'm questioning whether to get the olive drab BB version, I wonder if they'll release one without the cloak, I'd much rather get a BB with only the fatigues, looks much more distinguished.

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain & Ground Zeroes

I'm going to check that out right now :lol

I didn't get to watch the entire thing because their video player kept buffering on me.

This game looks bat**** crazy, in the best way. I worry all the free roam stuff will distract from the main story though.

40 minute video is it worth watching?
It explains how the buddy system works with some cool buddies, and a couple other features, nothing new really.

If you need a gameplay fix, like I did, it's pretty enjoyable, but you're not missing anything if you don't watch it.

I would Love that! D-walker reminds me of johnny 5 from short circuit! I must say for a game that's supposed to be deadly serious it seems they moved all the gags into the gameplay Instead.

That's what I'm debating on right now. I was looking at the stealth one just because it didn't have the scarf. I think that one looks really cool, but I'll just be using regular fatigues or I'll play shirtless like I did for MGS3-PW. Since I'm more of a story guy, I try to play the game as close as I can to the character, and it doesn't really make sense for him to wear a stealth outfit that is designed to prevent hypothermia. Even when I play Tekken, I think "Nah, Kazuya wouldn't wear that." Although, I could be completely wrong about the outfit. I think it's an awesome unlockable, but I just prefer simple fatigues.

I'm just a boring guy when it comes to character customization!

Alright, I just had time to watch the demo. A few thoughts: It seems way too much like a "game" - like some sort of virtual reality simulation. I still find it strange how Big Boss can smoke a cigar and 24 hours would pass on the fly. Or, how Big Boss is able to fulton a Russian interpreter and five seconds later, he has joined Big Boss' outfit and is willing to help him out. Considering the time it would take him to recover, and placing him in a holding cell for interrogation - that's waaaay too fast.

I'm not sure if all of this is just gameplay, or if whether Kojima has something grand in store for the discourse. For now, I'll hope it's the latter.

I thought the same thing, the "too much like a game", but I personally don't mind, I guess I like the contrast between the realistic AI and sneaking and the arcade-ish items/gimmicks, we knew it was going to be like PW but bigger.

For instance, I loved the pixel blood in PW.

Same here, I think the immersion has taken a hit big time.

It's very simulation from the looks of it. And if GZ was any indication, the codec is useless outside of quick snippets of dialogue from Miller. Much like Peace Walker, the gameplay looks like a blast... but it doesn't come off as MGS to me.

I was thinking back to one of the earlier trailers where they mention "a weapon to surpass Metal Gear." What can that be? The Patriot AIs? Metal Gear has either been a weapon of deterrence or mass destruction. It's a pretty vague statement to try and pick apart. I wonder if it's Les Enfants Terribles. Since Big Boss has made himself the baddest man on the planet, I guess what will surpass MG would be more Big Bosses.
