I was thinking back to one of the earlier trailers where they mention "a weapon to surpass Metal Gear." What can that be? The Patriot AIs? Metal Gear has either been a weapon of deterrence or mass destruction. It's a pretty vague statement to try and pick apart. I wonder if it's Les Enfants Terribles. Since Big Boss has made himself the baddest man on the planet, I guess what will surpass MG would be more Big Bosses.

Im guessing that the weapon will be " Words " given how it seems to be a big theme for this game. But saying that, it could be the genesis of the exo-suits, an early Foxdie like virus. Or as you say, the snake clones

I thought words could be it too. Since that would be the first step to the unified world that Zero wants.

I think the storyline, from what we've seen in the trailers, is shaping up to be very much like Metal Gear. But, the gameplay and the lack of long codec sequences is a departure from the previous games. That said, it's just the accumulation of the small things that make MGS V seem so different. Like when the game doesn't pause, when you're selecting weapons and items, or looking at the map. Kojima even wanted to remove the exclamation alert markers, but the other members of KojiPro held him back :lol.

It would be cool if nudie mags were back. It's pretty ridiculous having cardboard cutouts in the middle of the desert, with enemies that don't even question why they've appeared out of the blue.

Quite funy codec looks extremely dated than idroid :D You have something equivalent as nude mags though

After watching the gigantuan 8.7GB demo, I noticed that the draw distance in the game is getting worse, even when compared to GZ. Oh well.

Here is the high bitrate, 1080p 60fps version of the demo, it will be as close to the real thing as it gets.

Thanks for the link! Downloaded pretty quickly with my 90 mbps. :lol

The game looks amazing and has some great features, but... Feels too modern, especially when it comes to the overall stealth and combat. Too much stupid stuff, like loudly extracting things from enemy base while sneaking or enemy base having fuel barrels in open spots and soldiers taking cover near such barrels. And no, these aren't the same as card-box in-jokes, which can be tolerated for being popular part of the series.

Yeah, the difference between the Youtube videos and this super high bitrate version is night and day.

I think the game will be super fun to play, but it now feels more like a Japanese cartoon than a sneaking simulator. :lol

It just improperly balanced. For example, I can clearly see that making "extraction" so unbelievably easy and lame was part of the "todays-mainstream-gamers-wouldn't-want-to-spend-so-much-time-on-this" discussion by executives.

Like I said before I think they've taken all the humor from the story by placing it all in the gameplay. It's sillier than ever in that regard

I doubt they were playing that demo on the hardest setting.

Demos are usually played on easy or normal, it'd be nice to see it on the Hardest setting for once. Even then most demo players suck >_>

I can only imagine what it's like trying to Fulton a soldier on the highest difficulty without that slow motion gimmick on, I bet most people will actually think twice before they use it :lol

It was sorta broken in PW, I used it to mostly get rid of some guards in areas :lol it kinda broke the immersion at times, like no one would notice this body flying off?
