Sterile is the right word for it. Sure the place is big, but how many sandbox games can you recall that are that... and there's nothing to do in them?

I don’t think this is supposed to be an open world game like RDR or GTA, the huge maps are meant to give you different ways to tackle missions.

I just hope it's not a chore to play. Adding drivable vehicles and horses in a MGS game was never a feature anyone asked for except to fulfill Kojima’s fantasy of that scrapped Project Ogre. :lol

Good thing they’re both optional and not forced on to the players like the Batmobile. Based on previews, it really seems you can play this game however you want, which is always a good thing.

No one wants to talk about the fact that "Snake" has his bandana back now? I thought it was pretty cool. Certainly a look I would pick if I'm allowed to.

It's a customizable option :lol

You don't have to wear it, it's more fan service then anything else.

Also watching the Yongyea's hour preview and he saids that after playing the game he's 110% sure that we'll be playing as the real Big Boss.

He looks pretty badass there.

That while section the soldiers were dressed like Gurlokovich soldiers lol.

The bandana looked dumb though. It didnt have the wrinkles like previous games. I assume its an optional dress as rumoured, not a plot point.

I'll definitely be playing bandanaless, and no sneaking suit, unless they have any perks I'll be going with the army fatigues get up.

Eh... there were some goofy camos in MGS 3 and 4, so I can let that the bandana slide. I can't see myself using it, and it looks weird having it on Big Boss, after he threw it into the wind in Peace Walker.

My biggest concerns are the story and the gameplay. I wonder if the desert is just a long stretch of nothing to do, and isolated bases in sparse locations. Oddly enough, the one thing that KojiPro hasn't showcased are side-quests. I mean, what else is there besides dropping into a location with Morpho and sneaking your way into a base? :dunno

Are there Bedouin villages to find, or people to help? Can Big Boss interact with the locals (if there are any)?

I mean, if you're dealing with a Sandbox game, you have to make it play like it's in the Sandbox.

:lecture and no buddies for me. Good thing bandana is optional.

Damn no buddies? Not even a horse?

Some of the stuff you can do with Quiet looks too awesome for me to leave her on the bench.

I'm a bit worried we haven't heard anything about Frank Jeager so far. Hopefully he's in the game because it would be pretty awesome to use him in some side ops missions.

Crap forgot about horse :horse lol yes only horse. As much as I enjoyed everything you can do with buddies in demos I'd want to finish the game at least once the old 'metal gear' fashioned way, alone.

Makes sense, I guess it'll make a second play through even more exciting :lol

You'll probably have to do a first playthough with the story alone, because usually, the extras are only unlocked only after you've beaten the game :lol.
