In reality, this still doesn't truly confirm it officially.

Im at the point i don't really care anymore.
The Mgs games haven't been that good since the first one imo.

I love all MGS games, and MGS3 still the best ! .. i'm hoping MGS V is better ... I enjoyed MGS 4 and I would say it's the best but I felt I was watching cutscenes more so than playing .. and I hope MGS V cuts off a bit of the cutscenes and more gameplay.. than again it'll be an open world game.. so it'll be long

I thought it was weird when they introduced him as Snake in the trailer and not Big Boss, but then said Hayter wouldn't voice him to give him a personal identity. Why'd they not just call him Big Boss then?

I thought he wasn't gonna be voicing him though in all honesty

It's funny how he took Snakes codename when they made MGS3 and then they have gone back and refuse to call him by his name. Even though that's the name he was originally given. They just made him 'Snake' to relate him to Solid

At the end of Peace Walker, he said that he'd accept the name Big Boss over Snake from then on. Reason he still preferred the name Snake for ten years after MGS3 was because he didn't believe he deserved the title of Big Boss, and that the Boss should keep the title.

Everything is just a mess in MGS at the minute. I seriously hope they straighten the story out a bit with TPP & GZ

"Name" was my first guess not only because of his four letter word hint ending in "e," but this might have to do with Big Boss figuratively "passing his Name" onto Solid Snake by the end leading into remakes of MG1 and MG2.

Most likely, I do know that Kojima promised to reveal more than just the theme. Also, that robot voice "David" video promised his true identity reveal at E3 on June 11.

If the revealing would end up having doyle for BB and david for a young snake (if ever) then that would be great. This would not feel like a complete MGS game without david. I mean he puts the SOLID in Metal gear!
