I do still think Kojima has a secret up his sleeve, in terms of Hayter not being in MGS5.

This has been brought up many times before, but Big Boss has been played by other voice actors that aren't David Hayter.

Solid Snake was only about 12 years old in 1984, so probably military training, etc.

Ah, damn. I was hoping for an 18ish age. Then we could grasp at straws of the emphasis they put on getting a man who can convey convincingly the face and voice of a 49 year old when the potential for Hayter to try and young-snake-it-up was also there. But i cant see a 12 year old snake being playable. Maybe if it was a Raiden game when he was butchering folks in the woods. Unless the young kid we saw in the cage wasnt Chico and was infact a young snake (eventhough in one of the videos we hear a guy say chico but it wasnt directly over that part of the footage)

Im not fussed either ay. Pre order day one for me, collectors or whatnot.

I must be the only one who feels like that video just felt off. I still feel like I'm being trolled.

Once again, to wade through all the hate in this thread, I thought Kiefer was doing Ishmael's voice as this trailer showed? So does this confirm Yong's theory that Ishmael is Big Boss's imagination, Fight Club style?

Just read. WHAT? ok if no hayter they could have at least given us Doyle his performance was great in 4. Im really not the biggest fan of kiefer sunderland, while his voice is gritty i just enjoyed hayter/doyle as big boss.

Well hopefully after V kojima lets boss's story go and goes back to snake's story and also remakes MG 1+2 for ps4 or even does HD mgs1

Perhaps the reason for why they went with Kiefer (aside from the celebrity status) is because he's a more established actor. He'll be doing face capture for the Snake model as well as voice.

I would be a bit bitter too, if I helped create one of the most well-known video game characters and basically was laid off in such a horribly shameful way that makes anyone want to punch Kojima in the 'quad'.

It further bugs me how much they pipe up what Peace Walkers story is in this game when PW was a stale turd of a story.

I agree with this. There's no indication that this is the end for Hayter's role in MGS.

I'm open to Kiefer being BB, he's a good actor.
