BTW this shows up after GZ

Nothing we haven't see before, but the music is something I haven't heard before

The music!!! Sounds a bit Hanz Zimmer like.

I just started the main mission and went straight to a certain point of the base i knew i would find one of Chico's tapes.Only took me a couple of minutes, called the helicopter to abort the mission.Yeah it didn't work so now we at least know we have to complete them to unlock anything you find during the mission and side ops.

Damn, I thought that would work.

Without me reading through the full thread is ground zero a full campaign game or is it just one small open world map?
A question for people whom have completed this how long was it? I know it is only £25.00 but I want to know what to exoect

Depending on how you approach it, the main campaign, if you can even call it that, is anywhere from ten minutes, to 2 hours. There’s 5 side missions, that take about 20-40 minutes each, and collectibles, tapes and skins to unlock. If you’re a big MGS fan, and anxious to get glimpse of whats to be offered in The Phantom Pain, then go for it. If you’re expecting a big game, with plenty of story and content, definitely pass on this, or wait for a price drop.

I think I read somewhere, that Harry Gregson-Williams was actually working with Hanz Zimmer for a little bit. It could have inspired his work on this game.

Yeah, they have worked together in the past. Both are excellent at what they do. Zimmer is the best in the industry imo :lecture

Sins of the Father is shaping up to be one of the best tracks in the franchise.

Yup, I don’t think anyone has said anything negative about that song. I must have watched the E3 trailer a million times just to listen to it.

:exactly:

I must be a fragment of the main theme :drool

btw I heard some news, some parts of GZ are censored in japan, all done by an organization called ‘ CERO ' thats intresting.. :lol

The irony :lol

TPP could have one of the best soundtracks ever, after GZ the wait is even harder... :gah:

That's a good point. Kojima probably needs to make these games dark, and twisted in order for them sell now days. But, the game was censored in Japan, so I'm not sure if he's really getting away with much :lol.

As, for Big Boss going to the "dark side", I think there's already enough premise for that as established in the storylines. Both he and his mentor were betrayed by the government, and he was tricked into killing her. And then in Peace Walker, he was forced to relive the tragedy all over again, and take her out for a second time. He was also experimented on, and his cells were extracted to make freaky gene-babies from the "Les Enfants Terribles" project. So, it makes the whole "revenge" theme from MGS GZ a bit moot, when he has already suffered so much in the past. My question is (rhetorically), why does Big Boss need so much prodding before finally taking The Patriots in hand, when he already has enough justification for revenge?

In this game he's mad but he hasn't gone all the way yet it's more Kaz in ground zeroes maybe Kaz convinces him to to see things a bit more clear

The Dark Knight
Inception
The Dark Knight Rises
Man of Steel

All amazing OSTs

Gladiator needs to be on that list :lecture.

Well, we also know that Kaz eventually breaks away from Big Boss, goes into cahoots with The Patriots, and aids Solid Snake in infiltrating Outer Heaven. This thing is making less and less sense...

In this game he takes it personal for what happened I actually see him breaking away from the Boss in this .

Yeah, I think he might break away Big Boss. But, why would he join The Patriots after all the torture and missing limbs?

Some things in this game just aren't adding up to me. Unless, Kojima plans to rework some of the established story lines from the canon.

Good question maybe he thinks zero was right he could have a change of heart in TPP alot of years past in that isn't Big a Boss in a coma it will be interesting.

Are the Patriot the ones who did that? Or is it Skull Face that tortures Kaz?

It hasn’t been revealed yet, but I can’t see Cipher being behind it, with Kaz breaking away from Big Boss and working with them later on. It’s either Skull Face or another enemy we don’t know about, if I had to guess.

Are the patriots up and running yet? I thought skull face was behind this.

They have been up and running for some years, and Zero just vanished, very sneaky..

I doubt Zero had anything to do with it, this happened in the 80s and the soviets invaded Afghanistan I don't know if the patrios were involved, I'd say they are involved to some degree. But Kaz was doing stuff during those 9 years... who know what hes been up to.

I don't think Kaz betrayed Big Boss maybe he pretended... he was "helping" Solid Snake but eventually he was just an inside agent or something... and in the end when Solid won he just retired I dunno... 90% of MG2 will be rectoned
