And what gives Kojima the right to artificially pad the length of the game? I was really TRYING to give this game the benefit of the doubt, but the only thing that got me smiling was when Snake bumped into some empty canisters and fuel tanks, the guards were in the middle of a conversation and they all went checking me out. Classic Metal Gear done right.
I'm playing TLOU tomorrow to wash the bad taste off my mouth. I apologize in advance for the rant, and if you're dead set on getting the game, don't let my (or anyone else's) opinions deter you. Go for it and have fun people!
I was agreeing with you on that. It feels like they tried to make it “trial and error” to lengthen the gameplay, so that players can look at the ending’s runtime and say, “hey Konami wasn’t lying when they said it was 2 hours”.
In the end, I am still playing it, and enjoying it quite a bit. Once you learn the controls and the map, Camp Omega starts to feel like Big Boss’ playground. The gameplay compliments Big Boss’ reputation of being the greatest soldier alive. If your good enough, Big Boss can do things that were only available in cutscenes in the past games.
