It was shown in one of HK's figure magazine. I saw it a while back but never got around to posting it here. Was the same photo in the announcement photos but wasn't blurred. Looked more or less the same as the one they've been recyclying. Hope they match his look from the first movie though.

I'd have much preferred a full unhelmed head, to be honest. Getting fed up of the magnetic mask ones.

Same here, especially as he removes his helmet completely in the Iron Monger fight, so a full unhelmed head would be better, like the first version had.

Slightly off topic, but wasn't a crushed mkIII helmet an exclusive accessory for someone? Original mkIII or Iron Monger?

Mk III battle damaged, I think.

I could see Hot Toys milking this presumably pricey bit of tooling by making a Battle Damaged 2.0 with full head, optional exposed hand and deployable shield. Also probably two chestplates, one for the Golmira look and a caved-in one for the Stane fight.

Although honestly I don't understand why both versions of the Mk III didn't happen much, much sooner as an Armour Unleashed retool. Still baffled by how much they presumably spent developing that figure only to never use the tooling or engineering again, ever.

Hey, all!

I'm new to Sideshow Freaks and to the Hot Toys collectable hobby. I jumped right into it a few weeks ago and immediately became addicted. My tax returns had to go somewhere, after all, so why not spend them on a cool hobby like this?

My collection so far consists of four Iron Man armors (Mark 17 Heartbreaker, Mark 33 Silver Centurion, Mark 39 Starboost, and Mark 42), the Dark World version of Thor, and Falcon. Iron Man Mark 43 is on the way, and Mark 45 and the AoU versions of Captain America and War Machine are on pre-order. Guess which character from the MCU is my favorite? Lol.

I just now became aware of the diecast Mark 3, and I'm seriously considering buying this one too. It's not my favorite armor (that honor goes to the Mark 43), but it's THE original Iron Man armor, making it incredibly nostalgic and putting it on my radar. So yeah, I'll most likely get this one too.

That said, I'm seriously SERIOUSLY hoping that Hot Toys will remake Mark 4-7 as well. I missed the original releases of all of those, so now you can only find them on Amazon for double their original retail value, which I'm vastly unwilling to pay. What do you guys think? Do you have reason to believe that we will someday see a re-release of the Mark 4-7?

Welcome to the board, and for the life of me if the do re-release them I'm dumping the ones I have now and flipping them to pay for the new ones. No way I spent $450 on my Mk 6 for HT to release another one down the road :lol:lol:lol

I do wonder if it'd be possible to get a Mark III Diecast Exclusive, I imagine eBay's the only chance at this rate.
Someone made a point of it being the Classic design and all of a sudden I want one.
4 Suits would be my limit Mark 3, Mark 6(love that triangle chest piece!), Silver Centurion and 45.

More then I wanted even a week ago.... >.>

Imagine next week :rotfl
Did you check Heartbreaker, its design is killer and VII is the best suit so far Imo, classic with just the right amount of style and don't forget Starboost, the most uniquely painted armor, can't pass that up can ya? :devil

:lol
