I'm a museum poser, but I didn't like the lack of articulation based on principle alone. This just looks too damn good to pass up though, incredible looking figure. Can't wait to display him next to Cap and Thor.

speculators in HK already cut the mark 3 diecast price to slightly below the PO price.
Most people critise the lack of abs and ankle articulation, although it looks amazing in museum pose!

Yes maybe the MMS75 will always be worth more and you can always top up the colour fading with nail polish.

I hope HT makes 1-2 and 4-7 all diecast too, but keep the price at $310 or under, please.

If you guys could own ONE Iron Man figure to represent him, would this be it? I already have a Mark III that isn't diecast, but I feel this one is better. I have it on pre-order and I'm debating what to do. I can no longer keep all my armors and I'm narrowing it down to just a couple.

This armor comes to mind first when I think Iron Man. It's classic, with solid red and gold. Unless I get the 43 down the road, this will be my first and only IM.

It would definitely be this one in my opinion. This is the classic suit and the first time we actually saw Iron Man on screen. In close second I would say the Mark 6 though just because it's a beautiful suit :lol

This is my Favorite armor so I'm biased. I love the simple design of the suit. Reminds me most of the comic book version of Iron Man (which I enjoy most over the MCU). Very classic and I think it would catch most viewers eyes over the busier more advanced IM armours.
Beyond design, this is the armour that started the craze of Robert Downey Jr. as the Iron Man. He's arguably the most popular of the Marvel Super heroes and has been featured in 5 movies. But it all started with the first and in most people's opinion best IM movie in which the Mark 3 was the armor that saved the day.
I understand...no ankle pivot, no ab articulation! But I am confident there are multiple multiple amazing static and dynamic poses I can get this figure into. Plus, I'm very happy that he can get safely and properly (anatomically) into the flight landing pose with the usage of the new torso twist piece.
It's a case of...if you want this Mark 3, love the movie and the design...don't let a few restrictions let you pass up on an awesome character. And heck, if you like the 43 get him as your "modern armor" and this as your classic.
My collection started with War Machine MK2 (IM3 version), and StarBoost. I will complete it when I get the Mark 3 and the 1/4 43. And that would be me done with IM.

I love the first Iron Man film and love this armour, but the Mark IV is my favourite, and I'm lucky enough to own a great copy with no fade issues.

Truth is I may have bought the Mk III DC anyway on the strength of the film alone, but the relatively limited articulation turned me off; that's a dead horse though....it remains a gorgeous figure and great depending on your display criteria.

:goodpost: Couldn't have said it better myself!

I agree, for anybody who wants just one Iron Man, the top two contenders are the Mark 3 for its classic look, and the Mark 43 for its modern, industrial look.

Weird I haven't gotten an email about this arriving at the warehouse soon. My last flex for the EX is scheduled for Tuesday though so I guess it's still shipping that day.
