The Mark I would be really heavy and really expensive probably over $400 if they did make it.

As an owner of the Mark I v2 I personally don't think a die cast version is needed. It's already a terrific figure. Also as they have done a v2, I would guess a v3 is very unlikely at least until they have redone 4, 5 and 6.

Talking about expensive, what if Iron Monger were remade in diecast?

That would be pushing close to $500 for diecast Iron Monger. But I dont think it would work because the Monger has broken hips because the plastic can't hold the weight. A diecast Monger will need some serious engineering just to keep it up right.

I have the Mark I 2.0 as well, and I love it!

Yea, who knows about making a diecast 3.0 mk1. I missed the original mk3 and this version is a huge leap from the original. Not much improvement needed on the mk1 2.0 suit.

I own every Mark suit except the Gun Metal Grey Mark III (I would own it if it weren't so ludicrously overpriced), and I must say, that this is by far my favorite suit to have in the collection. A really solid figure. A+++

After looking at a few pics of the Mark 1 V2.0, I might actually start thinking about picking it up and abandoning the wait for a diecast remake. I agree, it really can't get much better than the V2.0.

Its better to get the Mark I 2.0 now, because we have no idea of when a diecast Mark I will ever be made.

I checked on eBay to see what the prices are and man have they gone up. Mark I 2.0 is gonna be expensive.

Yeah...in the past I've used this nifty collector site to judge the estimated value of a figure and make a decision on whether or not it's a good deal. As of right now, it looks like its average price on eBay is $430. Ouch...

But the history details also indicate that used ones have recently sold for as low as $300. That gives me some degree of hope.

With everything I have heard and read, it sounds more and more likely that the end is near for the diecast series.

I highly doubt we will ever see all the original Marks I - VII done in diecast. They MAY cherry pick another
fan favorite (Mark VI or VII, most likely), but honestly, I just don't see them doing them all.

It will be interesting to see if the proceed with the Civil War suit in diecast, or just go back to plastic... especially
with all the lights on that suit.
