My eyes must not work too because I don't see any problems with either of your Batman heads cr0w.

Unless wofford29 is confusing distortion caused by picture angles/perspective with the heads being warped!?

That's exactly what I said it was when he first brought it up. I just examined my figure top to bottom, front and back, to make doubly sure nothing's messed up on it, and I came away with the same answer. I mean, I know taking someone with an informed opinion seriously is hard to do sometimes, but it's usually a good idea, I've found. Hell, I'd hate to see how some people here treat their doctors.

I generally take the scope of issues like the paint peeling, etc., with a grain of salt because, honestly, have you seen how much crap a lot of the HK posters put their figures through? Within 10 minutes of opening, half of them are already in pieces and being modded. I'm guessing a lot of that has to do with why some people are seeing paint issues. Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if the guy who took the pictures of his paint peeling off was trying to glue tentacles onto the figure somehow so he could use it to make a weird ass diorama with his anime girl collection.

Maybe I'm just not seeing what others are, but to me, these look fine.

However, indeed, these are really messed up and unacceptable.

I'm not really worried though, half a dozen or more users' photos have been posted here as members here or from other boards and the heads look without the asymetrical flaws. Having had a bad OC head myself, I know these Batman's seem prone to having this problem, but i'm not worried that I have a 50/50 shot of my figure coming with it, I feel more likely it'll come fine. This paint peeling issue worries me more than the heads.

I'd be lying if I said the paint peeling issue didn't have me concerned, but I've been watching my figure like a hawk since the issue surfaced and haven't seen a hint of it happening thus far on mine. My fingers are crossed that it's a few isolated incidents...unfortunately, I can't read Chinese, so any links posted to Toy-World, unless they have pictures, don't mean squat to me. All of my HT Batman figures have had slightly crooked ears. My OC Bats, my v1 TDK Bats, and this one all have a slightly shorter left ear. Other than that, none of the heads have had problems.

I already have an e-mail sent to Hot Toys asking how they handle replacement figures for overseas customers that buy them on Ebay, as well as inquiring as to whether or not the paint peeling is a known issue with this first batch. None of it's happening on my figure as of yet, but I'd like to have the information handy in case it does.

This is another reason in favore of HT not publishing edition sizes, if a big mishap happens, they can make more, replace them, no harm, where with a committed ES, eventually, you run out of replacements and any customer with a defect after that ends up out of luck.

No confusion. There is no angle to my eyes when looking at the mouth, the head is looking straight on. It could just as easily be said that you're confusing it to be at an angle because it's so misshapen. The right side of the head is flatter than the left side.

All the worry about peeling & mishapes hasn't dampened my excitement for this figure either! I just wish he'd hurry up and get here - stupid seasonal delays!!

Here are some pics that spekerol asked me to take. There are a few nicks and dings in the armor, and a couple scratches here and there that the camera magnifies, but overall the armor on mine is good. Rest assured, if you see any marks on the armor, I've looked at them from about 2 mm away, and everything is either a ding or a scratch.

I've noticed people saying they don't like the new armor shinier than the v1, but I think, at least from photos, it looks nicer, especially those latest shots from crow, looks more like the material in the film than matte rubber like the v1.

I'm not sure why you're taking it as an attack on you. It's nothing you've done. I'm just simply stating that the heads on these look misshapen.

Minor scuff is all part and parcel with not being a mint in box collector. I'm worried about the very noticeable paint rubbing from handling it for less than a month. Unless the person in question has very acidic hands.

Funny, I've never used Urban Collector but that info is good to know for any future pre-orders with them.

Hey MaulFan, if I order anything from Toys2 in the future, will it get held up in US customs since I live in Minnesota? I guess anything I've ordered has always been within the States.

It passes through a customs check but doesn't get held up, I get Toys2 stuff in Massachussetts usually within about 5 days, pretty quick, and I'd think you'd have a similar response time. My stuff shows up from them through UPS. I'm not sure but I think people who report things getting held up with customs are usually like the postal service or something like that which probably runs slower but UPS, FedEx, those guys seem pretty quick even with customs.
