Here's one, see this looks pretty ok

From each side, it's virtually unrecognisable

my intentions are not to add fuel to the fire, but yeah, it is warped. even the eyes are affected. to see it clearer, someone needs to photoshop lines going vertically and horizontally just to pinpoint it out.

according to HTs response, it IS the first batch, which is in HK atm. so hopefully, the later releases will fix this issue.

HT didn't come this far to screw this masterpiece up. can't wait for the later batches.

See how here, you can make either side look flat and the other rounded from perception, because now on the DX the heads aren't mounted solid, rather just sitting on the magnet post, so you can twist them every single way, every axis. Ie, forward and to the side, or backwards and to the side, aswell as tilt at the same time. Something you can't do on the solid post, or not that i remember

Where did you see this response.

Also, goes to show, patience with receiving HT figures really is worthwhile, John Connor was for the best, now it seems waiting on Batman might pay off.

This is worst angle case scenario, as you can see here, it's noticeable compared to the proper head. It still appears to me to be the way the head is sculpted. They are virtually the same head, and everything else is in proportion. I dunno, just looks like in hand, if the head was squished unintentionally the whole side of the face would be dragged with it

The suit is proportioned so perfectly, kudos to HT for trying again after V1. Even the arm gauntlets when positioned properly and all the way around the back of the elblow like they should be, flow quite nicely

There is asymetry in the head, but again, I didn't notice it on other heads shown in this thread but some it's there. Some distortions can have to do with lighting and lenses, but a dead on shot like this, and well lit, isn't lens distortion, and the consistent issue among the ones with problems is the left side of the head.

Yeah i guess i'm glad i didn't get one of the really bad ones, i can totally live with it lol. That other one though would be going back for sure, if it was mine

Haha that is terrible lol. Hey Maul check this one out, this is what i was getting at with the angle perception, see how here 1stly it's virtually non existent. Then take the angle down a bit and you start to see at the base of the front of the head it appears, that's why i thought it was part of the sculpt

Yeshm.
See how when you turn the arm gauntlets the proper way, it actually gives the correct effect, like the carbon underarmour continues down his sleeve and is just covered by the top rubbery armour. Just a simple thing alot overlook

The head looks fine from angles, the subtle "warp" is really only noticable from a dead on front or back view, like the photo I PSed.

As long as you're happy with what you've got, that's really what matters.

Could be a few reasons for this:
-A defective Mold
-A mold that's been worn out (used to produce too many pieces)
-Improper handling and/or cooling time after the head is pulled/ejected from the mold.

In any case, its a major defect that should have been caught by HT's QC; especially given the price point of the figure.

Let's hope the rest of the production run turns out better.

thank god mines not warped.

one issue though: on my sonar head, there is some black paint around the lenses, on the left one theres some slightly chipped. its not noticeable unless youre looking for it but i think a paint pen will fix it since its so tiny, just noticeable with the light shining through.
