I actually wonder..... Since the HK release was suppose to fulfill the local HK market and likely the eBayers are not authorized international dealers I wonder if HT is really obligated to provide support to those who did purchase from the HK batch through eBay? Just like anything you buy and bring back from Asia the item may not have warranty here in NA due to it not going through the proper distribution channels

Well I'm basing it on the John Connor scenario, it seemed like anyone who got one of the defective heads, even guys who ordered through eBay, was able to secure the updated one. They might not cover for full figures though, who knows, all the more reason to be careful who you order figures from. Issues with HT isn't anything new, and you're better off waiting or spending more to go through a place you know you're covered through than trying to save money or get it faster than everyone else going through any shop you can find and then realizing they don't take care of you if trouble arises.

I cannot wait to get this.

Same here, between the photos and not having to sweat out paying for him anymore, I'm on edge. I really enjoy Batman and photographing Batman figures and I think all the extra features about this one area going to make it a lot of fun.

If you've got a wonky head then even if you bought it from ebay then you'll be able to send it to them for a replacement. I'm not sure about the peeling paint on the body as shipping maybe too much.

The only thing that I can see is that some people are so picky that the head will be off by a fraction of a millimeter when your looking at it from a certain angle under certain conditions that Hot Toys won't send you a replacement. You have to send them a photo and it took a little while getting my paint error on Connors nose to show up on camera when it was plainly visible in hand.

They used v1 fatman body for promo purposes that is why the bicep guard is different.

Even with that IMHO the figure is Ace

just the PERS and the Sonar and all the extras

you kidding me this is worth the $$$

I have actually talked to HT here is the policy
1)YOu notify them
2)They request the pic of the defect.
3)They issue a replacement part (not the whole figure)
4)So head will be substituted
5)If paint scraps on armor then the suit I guess.

Hot toys seems like they have pretty good customer service to me. I got a lost pred off of ebay from an individual not a store and it's arm snapped off out of the box. I e-mailed them and a week later a brand new body was on my doorstep, no hassle, just had to send pics and the original body to them in the mail.

Yeah, if HT's smart they'll require photos of the issues before action, some will try and get replacements for minor asymetry which I'm sure even the best of the best heads will have by nature of hand sculpture, but really skewed warping like we've seen in some photos, that's a clear error from production and a valid part to be replaced.

Something I haven't noticed anyone address that's got this figure in hand, what's swapping the hands like compared to the v1, do you still need the heat to soft things and all or did they improve it?

hand changes are just like before

I really prefer the Medi pegs (much easier)

one thing I had to do was the ankle peg needed some dinking since looked like wobbly ankle man rather than batman

Some people have to remember even human beings have minor asymmetry and I'm sure the mask wasn't flat at both sides in direct proportion. Darth Vader's helmet in episode 4 wasn't completely symmetrical. Only episode 3's was symmetrical because it was made using a computer.

Don't get too hung up on these things and just enjoy the figure!

natural balls are lop sided

however commercial one's are even steven

I had a totally different experience with my HT dogalien and Hottoys customer service:

I purchased the figure and The right arm came broken..well,to be exact, the plastic inside the rubber skin and the wrist peg too.
I put in contact in August, sent them pics and all the stuff...well the point is that I fixed the broken arm with some surgery seeing that they dont reply my e-mails...but suddenly at the begining of December!! they put in contact with me again saying that they had shipped he defective parts I asked ???.'???

Recap: Received the parts Almost 5 months since I contacted with the customer service in August


PS: They sent me 2 new arms (left and right) and a wrist peg (the wrist peg pin was cut mysteriously!! )

some pretty awesome set up and diorama, couldnt imagine what he'd do with the new DX joker and bats. thought I post these up here, to bring some balance with all those warped up head and peeling pics

Yeah hope he does another set with the new figures! As someone said, they thought PERs was looking good on the batman, TRUST me, it looks way better on him than the joker imho. The way the head is done, and different mouths, you can get SOOOOO many different options, all looking alot more realistic than they do with the joker eyes. I just love the pissed off ''we are doing this the easy way or the hard way'' look lol

HT shoulda given us the pers bruce wayne head as well, instead of the sonar bats.

As nice as those are, it does little for me as I'm not gonna use it or display it with the eyes light up. Prolly gonna play with it 5-10 min and its gonna go back to the box.

I agree. Or maybe they should have given us all 3 since this doesn't have as much as the Joker did. And I think the PERS looks amazing on the joker, and so far looks better on him.
