More troubles and not-so-good news ahead:

Just read from facebook, a HK VIP member has replaced his DX 3 times from toy hunter and the friggin rubber is still peeling. Some members even has changed 5 times!

Yeh, I saw that too. HT responded to me about overseas customers though and they said they will replace no problem, so that's something at least.

true, but if you are not based in HK, like the many of us here, and keep on getting the damaged dx 3 times, and you send it to HT, thats like $25USD X 3 = $75USD additional to get your dx fixed.

thats my question too. They will exchange them but if I have this figure for 6 months and paint starts peeling off can I get a refund ?.

I doubt it but it would make me feel alot more confident buying.

Hottoys said in facebook (in english) that there will be an improve version for the oversea market, but in chinese, Hottoys claim that there are NO PROBLEM what so ever with the material and paint, the peeling is just a small defect. I think HT is just saying there is an improve version to comfort the oversea market but do not know how to fix the peeling yet.

I wont say the amount of defect is small knowing this few days HT store are flood with angry customers, and the replacement they get is not new but an return DX from another customers ( because HT has run out of new stock ) making 3 to 4 trip to HT for replacement is normal and the peeling is still not fix. My friend pick up his DX yesterday, defected of course, he get a replacement today but you know what ..... elbow rubber peel !!!!

Today afternoon, HT send a box full of DX body (new from factory)for replacement, but there are report that this new "problem free body suit" got the same peeling issue.

So what happen now is >you bought a DX batman >defect/peeling >replacement >defect >replacement > forever, problem not fix.

hahah.... this sucks... I really hope they are going to fix this issue not just for the future when I get mine but for everyone that already has one.

I'm getting mine tomorrow morning from a friend of mine who got it for me. So I'll screen through the whole stuff and will post it here.

Full reviews bout this peels, warped and bent out bullcrap nonsense. Its time to put an end on the hearsay, and time to hear something concrete and factual.

Sounds like there is a problem with the material which they claim is ok.In the next week i think that they will recall the first wave before the returns get out of hand.

Maybe they are just recycling the same dx to different customers then

And see if they can get away with it, if not, they'll just get another one that's just returned and pass it along again

So lemme get this straight; there ARE perfect, trouble-free ones out there right?

I mean, crow's, OMG's snake's and a few others' in this forum's DXs are totally fine and defect-free. What are the odds of that!

My friend checked out mine and he said no problem whatsoever, but he hasn't tried moving and benting any of the joints, elbows etc.

no problems with mine...as of yet. its been about a week now so who knows, but it seems like these folks in HK have been having issues straight out of the box. seeing as how i dont have any yet im hoping that means its okay.

no warping or anything, just going to keep my fingers crossed. i even scraped my nail against one of the leg armor pieces...cringing ever so slightly as i did it... and no problems with the paint. im still really worried especially after hearing about how many people are having issues. i guess i just lucked out?? weird how no one here is actually having the problem.

Mine's fine, i honestly don't know if these people are actually rubbing theirs with agression to 'test' if it's going to peel, but obviously it's going to anyway if you thrash it. I did some pretty agressive arm bendings to try and pull off 'punch fists' poses (with fail btw, the arms just don't bloody stay up i tell ya!), and the elbows both inside and out are absolutely fine. The only defect i can find is on the back, about the size of a pinhead, UNDERneath the belt, on the carbon part. But if it starts to peel, it's going back, and at least glad HT are acknowledging a problem, although it doesn't even appear THEY know what's going on. First, they are saying it's poor human error, then they say they are arranging newly modified, different parts? What for, if it's not the parts? Then the same poor human error will be on all of them? I dunno, as long as it's covered, i'm ok with it.

In a way, rightly so. With rubber figures there's always a concern for decay over time, but I've never seen such an issue with parts right out of the factory like this, and it's not a cheap product, a $200 figure should have better QC control. How people express their anger is one thing, I think tact should be used, however I think expressing frustration and anger is needed so Hot Toys will learn and handle things better the next time they put out something like this.
