I 3rd it, i never plan to use the sonar head, and even then, it doesnt look good unless lit up, and you can't leave it always lit. Just a novelty imho. I just put the original bruce wayne on to see how he looked. Doesnt fit, just sits on the neck peg, but it looks ok i guess

A ANSWER FROM HOT TOYS!!!!! I see everyone drilled them pretty hard on facebook from several of the people who had the QC issues on batman they say it is not the materials but the people who were working on them. I say fire them if their job performance is affecting your companies future revenue......they finally reply and qoute : ) good News Boys and Girls!!!!!!

I believe that they stated that we needn't worry since the attention was brought to them right after the first shipment was sent out in HK. Improvements will be made on later releases. Thank you Hot Toys.

I agree. Think we should post some side by side pics of the DX with the Medi and with the real deal, to show how off the pads and bicep armour are

I just got mine in the post today
It's a 1000 times better in hand! Amazing figure!
No imperfections/peeling in the armour at all on mine - the new material feels much better than the V1.
The size is PERFECT. Not bulky at all and not too slim. All the joints are sturdy too. The magnet for the PERS head is really strong! and the PERS works beautifully - much improved over the Joker DX.
The sonar head looks cool lit up but went straight back in the box - don't want to disp;ay him with that.
The sculpts on the mouthpieces are excellent - the angry face is the best without doubt.
The ONLY thing not-so-good is the cape attatchments. GRRR I hate those attatchments! Other than that - AMAZING!
Will pick up batteries for my camera on the way to work.

Now THAT is great customer service - an instant, friendly response, acknowledging the problem, with full info on how to get a replacement. A company that reacts in this way deserves to do well.

More troubles and not-so-good news ahead:

Just read from facebook, a HK VIP member has replaced his DX 3 times from toy hunter and the friggin rubber is still peeling. Some members even has changed 5 times!

if thats true that really sucks !. So they eventually got one with no problems ?. Even if they did it will probably end up happening.

I'm glad to see hot toys have at least mentioned this and haev said they are attempting to fix the problem. I just hope if I end up buying from abc its from a batch thats decent.

No, after they got their final one (3rd, and some 5th fig), they are afraid to handle it. It just went to the display case straight, with minimum handling and futzing. So its no guarantee that the upcoming ones would be peel-free.

This is crazy!! .replaced Batman DX 5 times!!!!

What they are doing: Scratch the rubbersuit with the fingernails to check that the paint not peeling???

Well, this is why I preferred the unpainted old V1 (or DX prototype) matt finished instead of this ugly, shiny and crapy dark blue paint used on DX Batman (besides being inaccurate)

I'm always worried with rubber suits and stuff but with problems being there straight out of the box its a little worrying it could start falling apart quite fast. I'm buying this as my one batman figure , I might end up just buying an original suit figure since they don't seem to have any problems from what I've read.
