The Result of Improved Batman DX body! (Dec 30)

HK Fans got his improved or fixed body claimed by HT. Now, the time in HK is Dec 31, 00:31. The rectangle box in photo means that this body is exchanged on Dec 30. Now, we show the how improvement of the quality that HT has promised to us! I think that the quality is so so so "good" to maintain not more a single day! Coating Peeling is starting. Batman DX Battle Damaged Version is developing. This fan only set the several pose. Thanks for Hot Toys replacement. Please fix this. Don't fool your customer and staffs in your store again.

P.S. This poor customer has changed his batman SIX times! DX Batman, you hit the record!

I wouldn't panic just yet, one guy has enough issues for 6 returns. If every customer reported that I'd panic, but it seems like the heavy number of returns is isolated to a handful of people, which makes me wonder are there conditions where they keep their figures that are playing a factor.

I've read HT horror stories for years and the only one I encountered myself was flaking on the ALIENS figure, no muscle bodies cracking like so many panic about, no paint rubbing off on my TDK Batman.

The fact that a few members here aren't finding issues with their figures, and these guys on FB saying it happens almost instantly within owning the thing suggests hope to me.

I'm not saying there isn't a mass problem, but I question how many people go through the 6 returns, 1, maybe even 2 per average person, still not good, but depending on where those exchange ones are coming from, possibly not even the improved batch there's a lot unknown.

I just don't put stock in the word of isolated cases like the 6 returns guy, could be legit, could be poor handling or storing conditions, could just be a pissy guy who's finding a way to bring out the defects to bust HT's balls, we don't know.

All I care is that HT knows there's an issue, is trying to address the issue, and it might be a pain in the ass, but as long as you've got the right connections, you can get the issue resolved.

OK got mine - have the same assymetrical sonar head issue, its definately faulty and its clear to see.

I also, unfortunately, have an issue with the PERs head. While the symmetry is fine, there is a part of his metallic ring on the inside of the head (to which the magnet attaches) which is sticking out the side of the head and is visible when the head is attached to the neck upon close inspection - not an obvious error, but an error nonetheless - no peeling though. As I always planned to pick up a 2nd DX bats upon the DCD release, it isn't a huge issue for me right now because i'm only posing mine with the PERs head, and with the 2nd copy, i'll hopefully have a 100% error free PERs head for this body as well as a corrected sonar head to display with the second body - but it is still disappointing that HT rushed these out with these errors.

However, that being said, the rest of the figure is GORGEOUS, and the PERs and faces are spectacular... as is the sonar head.. and the sticky bomb gun.. wow. I've already put on my buddy lee cape on him and he looks much better - stock cape is crap. However, one nitpick would be that the neck is a taad long and that the arms still look on the 'too bulky' side despite the massive slimming down. Overall though, i'm happy but will def be contacting HT about replacements for the faulty pieces

true, but worst case scenario, I wouldnt wanna send the figure 6 or 7 times ($25USD per shipping) and still get a defected figure

oh well, will update in bout 9-10 hours. Wish me luck peeps

Here's the photo posted by the guy with 6 returns, and honestly, I think he's a bit ????. I don't see any signs of flaking or issues with the intergrity of the figure here, looks like small defects you might expect from a mass produced rubber figure. NO figure ever comes without some flaw of some kind.

That's my point with some of these reports, without seeing exactly people's issues, we have no idea just what the problem is. The photos posted earlier in this thread, yes, that's flaking and decay of the figure, a problem, but the highlighted spots on this figure look nothing like that. And as just defects, look how blown up the photo has to be, and they're so small, you need circles to identify where they are. I think this guy just wants to ????? about the figure.

A ANSWER FROM HOT TOYS!!!!! I see everyone drilled them pretty hard on facebook from several of the people who had the QC issues on batman they say it is not the materials but the people who were working on them. I say fire them if their job performance is affecting your companies future revenue......they finally reply and qoute : ) good News Boys and Girls!!!!!!

Hot Toys commented on their wall post:

Undoubtedly some of these guys are being overly fussy. I certainly wouldn't return a figure with the ''flaws'' pictured on the previous page.

Still can someone post the original pics where flaws really were evident? I haven't seen those yet.

I wouldn't mind if Toys2's shipment gets delayed till these issues, if common enough, are addressed.

actually if you read it from the HT's FB page, it seems Terence Tam is a mod at toys daily.

And all the HKers who cant speak english etc, just pass on pics and details to him so that he can bring the attention to HT's FB page so that international fans, could see whats going on in HK and the deal with the DX.
