I doesn´t star deteriorating.

If you don´t touch it i think that there will be no problem.

But if you scratchs with your finger (not nail) when you pose it the paint will disapear. Only with the rubb of the belt it can damage the paint.

I Have tried to scratch the paint even with my nails (not very hard) bend the suit and rub hard (in the back) however the paint did not disappear..personally I find it quite tough..

Precisely. Yes there are affected figures, yes it sucks for the people that got them, but the situation doesn't warrant mass panic or concern, there are a number of positive reports coming in as well. If there wasn't a single person coming in saying there figure was fine, then I'd say mass concern would be warranted, but where there's a mix, I think it's just a sucky situation that requires a little caution when you get your figure, you can't just open her up and be on your way happy and care free, but I also think there shouldn't be a fear that getting one that'll stay intact is impossible either.

I agree with MF, it sounds like HT knows that the Batman DX has problems and that they have fixed them. It also sounds like HT has pinpointed the problems. There have been several statements made by HT prior to the most recent one and collectively it sounds like they are aware of the problems with both the paint on the suit and with the deformed heads. So, at this point, the best thing to do is be patient and wait for the new batches to catch up to speed.

Can anyone point me to some comparison shots of the DX and the Medicom DK figures?

Don't jump on me for this, but I've been looking at the medicom TDK figure recently and thinking, hmm, even though that's medicom it looks pretty good. I'm definitely gravitating towards it.

that doesn't mean I won't get the DX, but I'd like to see what they look like side by side.

Incidentally, I thought it was truly rubbish that the DX doesn't seem to go on the batpod that well...I hate it when toys that should go together perfectly don't, or when they can't do things that the character is famous for.

This is off-topic, but I don't think I've ever seen a pic in which a Medicom Batman is riding the batpod.

Would love to see it if someone has it.

Actually you're wrong on both. The Medicom shoulder pads are just as big if not bigger than the DX. And also they're 10x crappier because they have to be glued down in order to look presentable (or else they stick straight up since they're not attached down to the suit near the shoulders). And as far the bicep armor, they got that wrong as well. It's no where near the correct shape so it looks like a big ass square sitting there. Medicom got the correct position of the bicep armor (DX sits too high up) but that's about it concerning the shoulder/bicep armor.

Thanks Devil, I just noticed that. You're right. I guess I was thinking of an imaginary one that did do it right. The DX Batman just needs them a little longer on the biceps and a little shorter on the shoulders. I guess I never have seen a completely accurate version.

didn't modified anything on my shoulders. you have only to learn how to pose him right and that's it.

Well Devil - I do think Medi got the overall shape of the arms MUCH better than the DX. The correct positioning of the bicep armour does a lot for the look and the gauntlets size and shape is closer to accurate than the DX. Ideally, i'd like to have the DX with medi's arms (but with DX level of detail and DX style attachment of the shoulder pads), and with a slightly shorter neck and slightly shorter ears - that would be the perfect TDK batman figure

Thanks for this - I can see I prefer the DX, mainly because of the chest armour - it's not just the size of the chest (giving him man boobs) but just the fact that the breast plates are rounder and more feminine on the Medi that makes me prefer the DX. That said, it still looks pretty good in Thrustmaster's picture.

Interesting to see that a Hot Toys Bale head will fit on a Medicom figure.

Sorry Thrust, but your pic actually shows exactly what I'm talking about.

Compare the shoulder pads on your figure to the real suit:

See how the shoulder pads grip and wrap around the shoulders? How the outer part of the shoulder armor (near the chest) is square? Now look at the Medicom shoulder armor. Looks like a big triangle pointing straight up. Not only is it not wrapped around the shoulder but the top part is levitating. I've seen people glue the shoulder armor down but it still doesn't look right because the top part is still at a sharp angle and not flush with the top of the shoulder. So it still floats.

Oh I agree. I was talking strictly about the Shoulder/Bicep armor before. I agree the Medicom Gauntlets/Arm shape/Bicep armor positioning look better than the v.1/DX. But that's about it for me. Everything else on the DX simply looks better in comparison IMO.

ah now i'm seeing what you mean with it. i had understand something completely different

medis details aren't accurate, but the overall look of it gives you the feeling of being accurate. never seen the dx in hand, but I would say in comparison to the medi one, the body is much better. the details and quality is just another level compared to the medi. but as for the head sculpt i still think that the medicom have the better bale/batman likeness then the dx.

i hope to get soon my hands over a dx batman, so i could compare them in hand and maybe experimenting with the dx and medi parts, especially the dx body with the medi head.

Just as well, it would end up looking a 10 - 11 inch figure against 12".
