DX cape just arrived for my regular TDK version, miles better then the original cape he came with.

Oh I agree. I was talking strictly about the Shoulder/Bicep armor before. I agree the Medicom Gauntlets/Arm shape/Bicep armor positioning look better than the v.1/DX. But that's about it for me. Everything else on the DX simply looks better in comparison IMO.

I don't think the gauntlets/arms on the Medicom TDK Batman look good; I think just the opposite - I think that the gauntlets and arms look fake and look too attached to the under layer of armor. I think that HT did a way better job of making the gauntlets look separate from the under layer of armor. The one thing I do like about the Medicom is the mouth sculpt for the cowl, but even then I still like the paint finish on HT's Batman DX way better than that glossy cowl finish on the Medicom version.

I say all pre-orders from the first wave were sold out but because of the flaws in the first wave there maybe some cancellation so you may be able to find spots as a lot of ppl backed out to wait for confirmation of upcoming releases to be flawless

At this point i'd jump on anywhere with the May release, I have a feeling a lot of folks will be going for that release, even concerned that Batch 2 will still be flawed.

Indeed, not that it should be rushed, but for their sake, Batch 2 can't ship out fast enough, they need some positive, "we're in the clear" reviews of Batch 2 without incident to get past all this Batch 1 mess.

No, they won't charge me until it actually ships, so just waiting for them to get their stock.

Oh yeah I keep forgetting they get the 2nd run onwards.

Yeah, last time Geil talked to Eric at Toys2, he had no real estimate because there wasn't any definitive on how the problems were being dealt with. It's still a bit unclear. From the latest word out of HT, it sounds to me like the problem was dealt with during production of Batch 1, but they didn't realize the error would cause flaking problems until people got the figure and had it peeling. If that's the case, i wouldn't think Batch 2 would be delayed too much, but it sounds like they're also checking each figure before boxing it up, so it'll be slower. It would have shipped about now on time, I'd say maybe late January to Mid February now. I'm going to email them now and see if there's new information.

What are you guys talking about?
From what I know Toys2 already charged MF and I played with his prior to shipment and the paint still rubbed off so luckily it wasn't mine

Hot Toys customer service told me that they are waiting to receive my replacements from factory.

Is sure that my replacements will be from the last batch. :chew

that's cool mate. I'm glad it worked out for you. Please keep us informed, when you'll receive your new DX and tell us your thoughts for the improvements on the suit and heads

I received mine today!!! OMG it's perfect.... the smell of plastic out of the box... I love it...No peeling issues as far as I can see but I'll have to check later. Sonar head is kind of deformed but I don't think I'll send it back. I'll post some pics in some hours.

Nope just added the DX cape, makes all the differance IMO!
