Me too. I'd like him to come with a few more extras. His 'building' clothes would be nice, but the extra head just for bashing purposes would be great.

And I've been planing on just using the end of a real toothpick for him, but hopefully they'll include it anyway.

And I'm still not sure what is the problem with the orange jumpsuit.

That looks so much better; otherwise the figure is all brown. I don't understand how the color of his pants can be a copyright issue.

Its called a figure, not a statue.

tell that to leonidas or the bat dx. a balance can be struck just right. whiplash err too much to the 'toy' side. but we've been down this road before, so i'll say no more.

I think the orange jumpsuit has a specific design and it belongs to a specific race teams pit crew and they don't want to give the rights to it.

Well, I'm really pumped for this figure now! Whiplash was great. Also like this look. The V2 was okay...

But, it looked like a modified Hammer Drone. I wonder if they could release a Drone figure with swappable hands and head (with his hair tied up) to make armored Whiplash? Obviously, it was hard to tell what all the differences were... but it might work.

it isn't just the HT figure of Whiplash affected by the orange issue either, it's all whiplash figures. I know its a legal issue or whatever (maybe something to do with the Monaco raceway crew), but I just think it's so weird that a color is part of a rights issue.

regardless of the material color, it will not stop me from getting this figure.

Really its the fake lightning/electricity thats throwing it off. There was picture in a magazine where hes not holding the whips he looks perfect.

Its just a damn shame Hot Toys couldn't make the whips light up I was trying to think up ways to make it work. You know how X-mas lights have a wire you can wrap around a tree, if they took 3 LED light on a wire and put that through a plastic tube, I know its not screen accurate but even that would look better than fake lightning

another idea was if the whips were molded out of hard translucent plastic and you could shine a light through them they would light up kind of like how some Transformer heads have glowing eyes when you hold them in the light.

Come on HT ! you can make PERS and jointed fingers and skin covering an Endo arm but THIS has you stumped ? Really ?!

If i had any interest in a v2 whiplash(i don't) and hot toys made him that way i would be pissed ..the scene was very dark and hard to make out the fine details on the armor but 4 a company like hot toys thats no excuse 2 go about doing it the way u suggested ,hot toys would never be that lazy ..it may look like a hammer drone ..but its defiantly different enough to get its own armor done from scratch and hot toys would be able to get there hands on the actual design ..there not just working from screen caps.

Well obviously is if it WAS different in more than just the face and the addition of the whips (I couldn't tell in the brief scene!) I'm sure Hot Toys wouldn't do it. I did say IF it was the same. LOL.

From what I could make out, the V2 had some sort of side skirts as part of the armor, kind of like a tasset or faulds.

Great pics Spanbauer, cheers! The whips look better in those pics than official ones. Still a little bit on the fence about it though

EDIT: Headsculpt looks a little different. Cant put my finger on it but doesnt have such a "Determined" look or feel to it imo. I may be wrong but thats just what I see

i see it too but im not sure what it is either, eyes look a little different.

Whiplash looks really good there, but I am worried about up on the chest the harness sits. Seems like there needs to be somerhing to anchor it.

Saw the movie again. It's definitely different than the drone. Almost has a Samurai look, plus there's his chest RT. It could be cool, bit I think this look is more memorable.

Mickey Rouke used to be such a handsome man. Too bad boxing and plastic surgery ruined his looks. And his fingers! What is up with those?

Anyway, if they make 2 versions, I'll probably pick up both.

In those pics from Toy World, is that a prototype of Whiplash? I hope so because I don't care for the way the arms go into the sockets and the head looks too small for the neck. The tattoos are great.

yeah it's definitely different, I saw the movie again today, and while that scene was too brief he got in some good hits he really took it to em.

At least he's still a superb actor. I will also be getting both version, should they choose to make em.
