Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

Broken record? Read all the other threads of those who were so proud of their initial purchases, "the best", the "OMGs", the "this is the only figure I'll ever need", then regretted after Mark III or Wave 2 or Series 1A came out, and off to eBay they all went. The only broken record here is the regret after the fact... :rotfl:rotfl:rotfl

This is not a supercomplex IM figure with 50 moving parts, it's a very simple Figure which took many months to develop properly and get right, including a newly designed body.

And it was nailed.

ordered!!!!!!!!:yess:

Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

Ordered the SS exclusive through the board link!

The lack of free shipping stinks, and the cost does seem a wee bit high but I don't care... it's such a cool figure, and some of the money goes to the Reeve foundation so that's cool with me.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

Thats also why I stuck to 1 T-800. For me multiples ruin the display unless you can have multiples that have totally different looks like the T-1000. Hence I just went with one Spider-Man and one Superman.

For me too many vibrant suits would take the premium look away.

I need to maintain some kind of discipline. I allow myself to run riot when it comes to Terminator but I cannot/should not do it with anything else with this buying multiples. On the one hand it'd be nice to be able to display more than one cool pose at one time but.....money :monkey2

NO!

1 must be enough. As I mentioned before I will alternate poses between my Routh Superman and the Reeve one. If you catch me changing my mind later in the thread find out where I live and shoot me in the head.

edit- I wonder if they'll use this body on other figures. I'd love to know what it looks like as a nude.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

Does anyone think that he looks in the least bit cross-eyed?!?!? Saw some ridiculous postings on another site and thought...are you serious? Like someone said, I am no DC or even comic fan, this movie was iconic, Christopher Reeve was phenomenal as the MOS. At least to an impressionable 6 yr old in 1978. I think HT did a fantastic job here. Likeness is uncanny.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

ordered! Alter Ego's price is the cheapest? anyone know of a cheaper place lol! thanks!

10% off is the standard... I don't think any retailer is able to offer a larger discount on a pre-order. But one advantage with AE is they also offer a rewards program so you get 2% back on a purchase.

Except the regular has free shipping from Sideshow - it would probably even out in the long run and you'll get it quicker from Sideshow.

Good point Dave; you save $21 through a retailer... but loose $10.50 in RP and shipping will be at least $15.

So in all honesty Sideshow would likely be the cheaper option as long as you are not in CA.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

on my order form, it says that shipping is being included with my $199.99...anyones else say something similar?

Regrets? I've had a few,
But then again, too few to mention.
I did what I had to do
And saw it through without exemption.

I planned each charted course -
Each careful step along the byway,
And more, much more than this,
I did it my way.

use the Affiliate link to order!

Hot Toys Christopher Reeve Superman - Sideshow Exclusive edition!

Should have gotten credit for mine Dave. Used the link on an item a couple items ago so the cookie should still be sending stuff to you.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

Yes it is, among other things...

That is nothing more than distortion from light reflection, like HT is going to showcase this epic figure with crosseyed paint apps.

Geesh! Get a grip, man. :lol
