Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

Really luv the pics of your Superman custom flying. Did you string him from the back for some shots, or was it from the wrist? What kind of string did you use?:yess: :yess:

Thanks a lot.
I use thin gauge fishing line.
I made two loops. Maybe 2 metres across each, and with a push pin tied to each end. These were pushed into gaps between the wooden panels in the ceiling about three feet away from each other. For the vertical shots. I just strung one loop under his arms. Under the armpit, round his back and out the other armpit.
For the horizontal shots, I used the other loop around his feet and the first loop resting under his wrists.
It's really easy.

I have four of that head sculpt and I agree it's not 100% like him.
But because I have a few of them, there are times when I see it at a certain angle in my detolf, and it looks exactly like him. It's not far off. Forehead is fine, as is the nose and the mouth shape. I have trouble nailing down the exact problem with it.
I would give any five of my HT figures for an updated HT sculpt of routh.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS152 - Superman: 1/6th scale Superman Collectible Figure

I think I'm getting Super for my B-Day in a couple weeks but I don't know for sure.. my gf and my bro seem to be in cahoots about getting him, which would be awesome, considering that she's constantly limiting the number of figures I can keep on display in our apartment.

Ahhh the wait...

It better not be a sweater! :D

Reposed my Supes and brought out his box to display with him.
Too lazy to take pics right now, but dang, such an amazing figure this is.
Still happy with it after nine months of owning him. :blissy

Mine is eternally locked in this pose I guess. Crumpled the cape a bit to give it motion. Sorry for the bad pic.

^^ fantastic shot there man. I still think this is one of hot toys best efforts. I'm not the biggest superman obsessive, but the reeve movies were a big part of my childhood, but everything about this figure is just stunning.

great pose.
I like your display cases too. Where did you get them?
If you can, take some more pics of Supes. I'd like to see that in higher definition.

Thanks! Same here, I'm not the biggest Supes fan, but after revisiting The Superman Extended Edition blu ray, man that's a tough act to follow. Truly a legendary movie.

Thanks! That pose takes some time with the standard stand but once you get it right it looks quite stunning compared to him with both feet planted on the ground.

I got the cases off ebay, I think it was less than 10 bucks and very sturdy & well built. I think it came from China with those simple brown boxes, but great quality nonetheless. I'll try and update with a high res pic a.s.a.p. :)
