Thanks, I always wanted the only Superman figure to be that of Reeve in the costume, and thanks to Erick, and Nathan and Hot Toys, I have him (although Im still hoping Tony can make me a one off movie accurate blue catsuit)
The HT head and all other accessories like that kryptonite chain and extra palms are lying safely in my parts box. I already got rid of the base and crytals (gave them away to a friend to expans his existing Superman Display)

Willing to part with the krypto chain?

Hey Butters, the bullet ricochet pieces are from Revoltech's Lupin the 3rd figure.

'Revoltech'...not the best name for a company. Close to 'revolting'

My guess would be there are younger collectors who jumped on this figure because it had hype and they thought they could flip it for a profit. They born after Reeve was Superman and it's just not the same for them.

Opened him up earlier, and I remembered that I had some pretty cool gunshot effect pieces from another figure. Suddenly, I knew exactly how I wanted to display him. One quick shot:

I really love the figure, and I'm not really sure why I waited this long to get him, but now I have. The FoS base is kinda garbage, though.

I like the FoS base, though. It's effective to have him floating in for a landing. It's probably the part that sticks most in my mind when I first watched it as a little kid... the way he just floated in for his landing. It was so freaking amazing.

The artistic design of the base, sculpt and paint, are very nice, but all but one of the crystal pillars fail to neatly fit into their designated holes. They stick out awkwardly because of this.

100% true out of the box, but I used a hair dryer to heat the base on mine before trying to insert one. After that, with a little bit of squeezing, they all went in quite nicely. They all look like they're "growing" out of the ice now.

Hair dryer trick is important to know if you use the FoS base.

Me either. I haven't taken very many good pictures. This one is my favorite so far, though...

I took this one right after Christmas. I hadn't futzed him much. But then again, he doesn't really need much.
