It would have to be something really impressive for me to get it. I love my Mark IV and I'll almost certainly get the Avenger's version of the Mark VI and depending on what it looks like the Mark VII

I did momentarily put an order in for the new Mark II but I promptly cancelled it simply because I cant afford them all and I haven't really got my interest in the figure (apart from the SSC exclusive hologram arm)

I do have a bit of a dilemma as to who I display the Mark I with though, I've gone over the possibility of Mark I, Iron Monger and Mech Test Tony but then I really do want to get a War Machine at some point as well so maybe Mark I, Mech Test Tony & War Machine...

Having said all that I just know when I start to see the unboxing video's I'll cave and probably just get the lot

I think the two best ways to display MKI would be
a) Hall of armor
b) Surrounded by Afgan terrorists

My opinion:
Iron Monger would go best with MK III 1.0 or 2.0
Mech test would go best with MK II UA

then again, that's just me. Whatever pleases you would be great

Honestly, I think the Mk.III needed an update more than the Mk.I, especially with the way this Mk.I v2.0 is turning out to be.

I have a really strong feeling that there will be a MARK III 2.0 announced sometime this year. Would make sense to update as the original was the FIRST of the Iron Man line and quality and paint-apps are nowhere near where they've come with the MARK IV through VI. the MARK III needs to match that quality...and with the new tooling for the 'Armour Unleashed' MARK II as a starting point, I can see this having the same sort of removable 'clean/damaged' panels as the MARK VI.

Bring it on HT! MARK III is my fave of the 'red/gold' armours and I NEED a killer one to display with the Monger and the other Marks. (Sorry, the B/D MARK III doesn't quite cut it either. )

Agreed, I don't think there will be any big controversy over a MK III 2.0, it's the first, but also the most primitive (relatively speaking) HT Iron Man, and it's common enough that likely no one will feel their "grail" is being desecrated and devalued.

I think it 's a bite that HT is re-releasing some figs while they still havent unveiled others, like xm:fc or GL. I guess i underestimated the demand for IM since they're up to maybe 9 variations and still going. Preds too. Meanwhile other good lines go ignored. But i dont put Monger in that overdone class.

Yeah definitely, this is my favourite Iron Man armour, I don't know why I like it so much, maybe because it's the original red suit but I really want an updated version, especially now where getting Iron Monger. I've got the BD version but its in it's box because when I display it next to the updated armours it just looks naff to me.

That was my original thought, if they did release a BD MK3 (which they will I'm sure) I wouldn't go out of my way to purchase it. I'm trying really hard to refrain from more IM figures just because they will consume my collection.

The only weird pairing I would like to do is with the MK1 just because they have the same faceplate, but I kinda figure IM will look good no matter who you place him with.

Also he just "sold out" on AE's site!
