Re: Hot Toys-MMS207-Superman III- 1/6th Scale Evil Superman Collectible Figure

Does superman ever smash Lana at all?

Re: Hot Toys-MMS207-Superman III- 1/6th Scale Evil Superman Collectible Figure

Spot on.... I never really thought about it, but yeah the stand does come off as a Man of Steel reject. The stand, while being cool does not fit in with the Reeve movie at all. Tires would have been awesome.

Its really a misstep to not even have the kyptonite rock that turned him evil, and I would love if he had a bottle of booze.

Especially since the Kryptonite shape was significantly different from the neckless from the first film.

Lighting is indeed everything.

Photoshop tweaks can't change the fact that it STILL doesn't look right. I'd say PAINTING is everything.

I think I like this one better. Also the boots don't seem to be rubber! I've seen a lot of the old figures boots faded away.

Re: Hot Toys-MMS207-Superman III- 1/6th Scale Evil Superman Collectible Figure

Hot Toys got really lazy on this one......They dropped the ball.....Way off! Didn't they realize that the hair style should've been different on "Evil Superman." Some customizers here have done better sculpts then what Hot toys is suggesting. I really like these below.......Just can't recall these customizers names.

Re: Hot Toys-MMS207-Superman III- 1/6th Scale Evil Superman Collectible Figure

This is basically a repaint of the original Reeve Superman figure with a different base. the hair is off, costume seems to be off as well and no accessories. easy pass for me.

No, but there is a seen where Supes is basically eye raping her which made her feel very uncomfortable. Which is also why he missed saving a truck tumbling over a bridge.

Re: Hot Toys-MMS207-Superman III- 1/6th Scale Evil Superman Collectible Figure

I was foolish enough not to get the first one (which has gone up way in price). So looks like this one will be my best bet. Since I don't have the first one, I don't mind the how this one looks at all.

You'd think Superman would be hesitant to accept a gift of a strange green rock.

I think the evil version should be less colorful. Are they only selling this at the show or will it be on sideshow websitr at some point?

He's curious. One, because it didn't immediately have any apparent affect on him and two, because it was an odd choice of gift to receive.

Re: Hot Toys-MMS207-Superman III- 1/6th Scale Evil Superman Collectible Figure

Is Superman sweating through his shirt in that shot?

I'm still in for this, even after the excitement has died down.
I was surprised to read that the first is going up in price. Stores here can hardly give it away. It's still not what you'd call cheap, but its the cheapest hot toys figure in any store at under 100 pounds.

Although a con ex, this should turn up in stores and on the ss site.
It's advertised here on on line stores for preorder so, it must have some firm of additional distribution.

Re: Hot Toys-MMS207-Superman III- 1/6th Scale Evil Superman Collectible Figure

I won't be buying this. Wish they went and did a Clark Kent figure instead of a new paint job on superman

This is bad-***!

Re: Hot Toys-MMS207-Superman III- 1/6th Scale Evil Superman Collectible Figure

Seriously folks..Is anyone here really that surprised that a successful company will try and reproduce the same sales on a 'new figure' if all they have to do is to minimally manipulate pre-existing materials ?

In other words, cut as many corners as possible, to save as much money as possible, to generate as much return as possible?

Having said this, I am all in for this for my wife. She is a real Superman 'mark' and her love of Chris Reeve's definitive take on the character (so much better developed and rounded as a character than the cardboard-cutout that poor old Henry Cavill was asked to play) has not faded since he first took on the role.

Her very first 'personally hers' HT was the Exclusive Superman figure (I also bought her the regular, just to please her inner collector) and I am hopeful that if this sells, we may yet see a Zod, Ursa and Non.

It would make sense to mirror the two Superman universes in terms of releases, a Superman from each, a Jor-El from each, and a Zod from each...?
