Over 35 pics and our video review here: Hot Toys MMS 207 Superman Evil Version 12" Figure Review

Thanks!

Sallah

Sallah, thank you for a most excellent review. I agree with what many including yourself have stated; the original version is a must have figure, and this release is a wonderful compliment to go along with it.

Say what you will about the movies, but Christopher Reeve is the best Superman ever.

BTW...great job on being a model progenitor for your kids...toys are an essential part of life!

Although I have the clean version of this figure and this one is really good, personally I don't see the need to have this version, trying to save some money as well...

I had the same issues but reeve is my favorite of all time so I bit the bullet and waiting on it to arrive

That's fair enough. Perfectly understandable. We have this and the original (plus an exclusive) Reeve, and the Brandon Routh SMs. Can you tell that my wife is a Superman fan? :lol They are beautiful figures indeed.

The idea of 'Each to their own' is what keeps all of our collections unique and special.

I am glad HT decided to do the evil version Superman 3 CR. I saw the custom evil Superman in people's FamCon photos. I figured I would have to buy another CR figure for $200 or so and pay $100+ (not sure how much customization costs are).

In total with CA tax, it was $241 for me and it is well worth the price for me.

I also considered this option
More expensive and you don't get the base

Mines coming in on Friday, I'll try to post some pics

Cant wait to see more photos of this figure!

I got one more flex payment on Oct 20th and it will serve as a nice thanksgiving gift to myself lol

Only a couple more weeks until I can pay off and supe's flys in, cant wait. I should just sell the base for a 100 bucks and get another. IT'S Crazy how much the base has been selling for. I wont sell tho because like to keep figure's complete.

You guys won't regret it. This thing looks sexy as hell on display!

(excuse my shyyty photos)

I watched clipperkings video other day of his review of snake eyes and storm shadow and he posed his goblin stand base vertical and thought WOW,that would be cool to pose supermans base standing up so the base looks like crumbled wall and superman just flying out of the impacted base wreckage after getting thrown into it. I'll try take pics of mine when get him. POSED like pic below is what i'm wanting to try and set up.

Thanks very much man! :duff

Glad you enjoyed it... And I agree- Other actors have PLAYED Superman... but only one of them WAS Superman: Christopher Reeve

He would have been 61 today BTW....

I bought a second just for that reason so now I think Ill Clark him instead.

Got mine in, so far, I love it!(of course,I loved the original as well)
Differences:
Chest emblem is lower on suit, mine might be a little crooked but I'm not really concerned
Underwear are smaller, combined with the emblem placement, makes the torso look longer than the original
Suit isn't see through, I think the color just reflects the light more than the original
Face, all the changes are pretty suttle, 5 o'clock shadow could be darker, eyes are noticeably darker, grey streaks are prominent, like the skin coloring
Base is awesome, I like it better than the original(because the original couldn't stay together), wondering how I could work the base with my hulk figure
I'm happy with the purchase!
