One thing I would REALLY love to see is that if these manufacturers could make their figures in the correct scale. I mean, how many time have you seen a wrong sized body, or tailoring where the pockets are too big, etc?

You'd think that it would be easy enough to have a small range of height adjustability built into the legs and arms. Even a few millimetres would make a huge difference.

This:

Actually, who do I have to kill to get some high-end, fully-articulated figures of the Small Soldiers characters? I know Stan Winston had a handful of figures made from the original prop moulds when the film was released, but they now fetch thousands of dollars on the rare occasions they pop up for sale.

Yep. That'll pretty much do it. Fully automated, interactive pieces with killer AI. Your move Hot Toys.

Figures with more accurate body proportions would be nice. Whether it's the HT Black Widow which is way too skinny for Scarlett Johannson, or the Darth Vaders which are always way too tall and lean.

Ideally it would be nice to have additional portraits with alternate expressions with each figure, but I realize that's not always easy or affordable for companies to do.

I'll go with this. A bit less cop-out recycling of previous bodies that aren't suited from an accuracy standpoint. As you say all the Black Widow figures are too thin. And when they increased the head-size on the latest Terminator MMS238 without making any corresponding increases in the size of his body they made him look like an average-sized man rather than a body-builder.

Also, I would ask Hot Toys to stop 'idealising' - this goes for bodies and headsculpts. Sculpt what you see not what you'd like to see.
