Re: HT Tony Stark Suit

I guess I won't be dropping $68 on the HT suit. I like how the Saturday suit fits. Can someone PM me with info on where to find one? I've looking on eBay for a couple days and nadda... thanks!

Re: HT Tony Stark Suit

I got mine...still waiting on my TT though:banghead I think this thing needs some SSC type futzing:D (jk)...it does need some serious work and maybe some ironing here and there and some glueing as well. Might take a page from Darren Carnell's book like what he did with his SSC Indy and go to work on this thing to make it fit the body better. I think the cut on the suit is just different from the ST suit. The ST suit looks to be more of a fuller Italian style cut whereas the TT is a more slimmer cut style that you see is fashionable today...actually more screne accurate to what RD Jr. wore in the movie.

Did it come with the cell phone? I didn't see one in my box but maybe I overlooked it.

Re: HT Tony Stark Suit

No phone... Got mine as well, put it on a Saturday Toys body and did use a touch of glue at the collar, looks pretty good to me. Pix tommorow.

Re: HT Tony Stark Suit

Only the 1st generation of TT (along with 1st gen of Preds AVP) has those bendable features.

Oh really? :monkey3 Because I only have AA ver of TT which come with bendable hands so I thought it's standard.

The ones that that are available on the market now is the 3rd generation of TT body, I believe.

Yes yes, I believe too. I mean I thought the bendable hand is standard hand included with every TT. Never realize that HT stop it since the 3rd gen. My AA TT is 2nd gen, right?

Re: HT Tony Stark Suit

I think the first 4 TTs offered had bendy hands: Asian, Caucasian, Black and Bronze.

Re: HT Tony Stark Suit

This is all very disappointing to hear. Mine might be here tomorrow but by the sounds of it I'm gonna have to wait for the new true type to have any kind of realistic fit - all the pics so far make the suit look huge and/or his head look tiny.

I got my suit from Toys2 today. I really like it despite the fact it was clearly designed for the new "slim shoulders" truetype that isn't out yet. That pisses me off. But other than that I'm pretty pleased with it. This is more of the drunk Tony in the Hummer look than presenting the Jericho Tony. Makes me wish he came with a glass of booze. I'll probably have to hunt one down now.

I feel the same way. Still I'm feeling excited that I'm gonna get it though.

And the release date of the slim TT is end of Q3 if I remembered correctly.

Re: HT Tony Stark Suit

I got mine today and honestly, I think it's very well made for the price (I paid about 35USD for it here). The fit and cut are tighter than the usual HT suit and like one poster here mentioned, I believe HT went with the modern leaner and skinnier cut which is the same as the real suit.

The problem here is really the HT TT body. The suit just barely fits over the broad shoulders and it is very obvious that this suit was made for the newer narrower TT body.

It still looks pretty good on the old TT and somehow, I felt that with this suit, the broad shoulders actually looks less broad than other HT figures in suit, I can imagine it will look perfect once the new TT is out.

The collar might seems sloppy at first because it's not sewn shut and doesn't have a clip to shut it like the BR Joker shirt. Then again, looking at the movie again, Tony Stark did not button the shirt at the collar and it is a movie accurate design. Pics when I am free this saturday.
