I'm actually kinda worried about the $60 being too low on these to maintain the quality of the accessories that we see there.
I think its weird so many here think the figure is overpriced. I think way too many people here say that its overpriced simply because the headsculpt is off. But if you look at the accessories, those are like HT quality.
I think $60 even with an imperfect headsculpt shown there is a steal for this.
Absolutely agreed! And for those wanting to polish the figure up a bit, it still gives you an excellent source for all the really hard to find gear.
These are the best pics I've seen of the head sculpt on Ray, from action-figure.com:
Who the ^^^^ is that supposed to be? The young Bob Hope?
I agree with you, that is not Ray, oh well, I guess I have to do my own set of sculpts, I was really looking forward to this... I guess I'll make some custom figures out of these!Who the ^^^^ is that supposed to be? The young Bob Hope?
Here are some answers to your questions:
1) Venkman's untucked uniform- Right now it will be tucked in. I have a budget, so I need to decide whether to use the money on one guy, or make a new ghost or accessory. Maybe on a later version of the character I can put that in there.
2) 6" pack- The Horsemen sculpted the pack straps into the body because it looked better. Therefore, I think it would look strange to have the pack off while the straps were still on the body. The pack will probably need to stay on. The wand position will be corrected as well as the leg hose. Colors on the wires will be corrected also.
3) 12" uniform - It's removable so if you want to swap bodies you can do so. I am a 1:6 collector myself, so I want people to be able to customize if they want to. As for the uniform, yes it doesn't have all the working zippers and functional pockets. For this release, I wanted to spend the money on the accessories. As we continue the line, I will focus in on improving the uniforms.
4) proton streams - yes, that's a great idea. I have to figure out a cool way to do that.
Here are some questions for you guys.
1) Stay Puft - I like the idea of the build-a-figure concept, but he won't fit in the package even broken into parts. I rather have him stand-alone. How big do you imagine the toy version to be? The bigger he gets, the more expensive he will be. Are you okay with him having just a few points of articulation? How about real marshmallow?(j/k) =)
Sounds very good in my opinion. Especially No. 3 makes me hoping that everything will turn out fine.
Yeah, a Mr. StayPuft would be neat, but way too big for display. Even undersized at 48" would be massive. A two-foot StayPuft would still be too big for me. There's really no way to do him right as a 1/6th companion.
But I would like a Terror Dog or a Slimer or a Gozer, if they want to expand into "ghosts".
A Louis Tulley with red eyes as Vinz would be cool.
You will perish in flames!
As long as some version of him has the colander hat, I will be happy.
