I missed out on the early Toyfair excitement on these so just caught up. Excellent news on the 12" figures so far. This Lavatiki is providing some excellent info.

"...working and removable trap containment piece with light AND working cyclotron LED lights!" EXCELLENT news!!

:lol

Yes, have some.

That would be a funny extra.
Funniest scene in the movie:

There are too many great scenes of the movie...this is the one film I know almost every line.

classic scene!! lol

John Candy was almost cast as Tully.

Thank God that didn't happen. Candy paired with Sigourny would have been really weird. I think it works well with her blowing off the shrimpy dork.

I also count my blessings that Belushi didn't do this film.

I do wonder how the film would have turned out with Eddie Murphy as Winston. You really can't make that film better than it is, Eddie may have thrown it way over the top ridiculous.

Could have been

Ray Stantz - Dan Aykroyd
Egon Spengler - Jeff Goldblum
Peter Venkman - John Belushi
Winston Zeddamore - Eddie Murphy
Luis Tulley - John Candy

yeah that would have been weird. dotn get me wrong, i love john candy and hes been involved in some of the funniest movies but i dont think he could put the 'geekiness' across enough for louis tully. john candys more on the ball kinda of character so to play a bumbling geeky next door neigbour is hard to see. esp next to sig weaver.

It would have totally defeated the point of casting a tall woman like Sigourny.

John Candy's Tully was a different approach at Louis. He was supposed to be a sleazy ladies man with pick-up lines like "If I told you that you had a great body would you hold it against me?"

With all the hype due to the figures,
I just watched GB last night, man what an awesome flick!!! :rock:rock
Everyone in the cast is perfect in their characters!!
I still remember when I saw this one in the movie theater!!

BTW, does anybody here have that "Making of Ghostbusters" book?
I've been after it for years....

My friend's got that book. That's where I found the John Candy/Louis quote. It's a great book. I was so jealous when he showed me!
