Hi Guys,

BradRedfield- The hands are not removable, so we will be doing gloved and non-gloved versions. The gloved-handed versions will not have the gloves hanging off the belt. The base body is the same for the 4 Ghostbusters.

Gareee- a 4-pack would be a great idea once we get rolling with these. I work on the Masters line also, and just want to note that when we re-release figures, they will be slightly different from the original release. There may be slightly different deco or detail on the figure. This is to keep everyone happy.

Kingpin- the pack has a battery door with button cell batteries. I could not fit a AAA in there without making the pack even larger. There will be a push-button switch at the bottom of the cyclotron disguised as part of the detail that runs the lights for a little while, then turns off. Originally, there was an on/off slide switch, but that was so ugly and huge, that I opted for the push-switch. I shouldn't be talking about production run quantities, but you are right that we don't have to go through a retailer and therefore a retailer will not be adding extra charges. We do, however, need these to sell out because we will not have the room to store all the product that does not sell. Therefore, the quantities have to be such that we can sell it all.

As for selling these at retail, that would be great. I don't think anyone would complain. The retailers are finding out about this just as you are. I've been working under the radar and in secrecy. You have to understand that they have to make the gamble of buying mass quantities of this stuff with no official announcement of a new movie or a TV show. They would also have to make room on shelf by taking something else off. I would encourage you all to maybe talk to your local comic book shop that sells Mattel DC Comics toys. They may be able to talk to their supplier, and if there is enough demand, maybe some GB toys can be sold that way.

I have some questions for you guys:
1) is there any love for the GB2 slime pack? That's going to be a bear for me to tackle.
2) what do you guys think of the game version proton pack?
3) I didn't anticipate the huge demand for the RGB. Do you want these figures at the same scale as the movie figures? I know you guys have invested in the older figures, so I'm wondering if you would prefer to keep that Kenner scale.

Thanks again,
Lavatiki

Uff... :monkey4 That suit looks horrible from front... No working pockets and not even a working zipper! This means you will have problems to switch the body etc. Further the Stanz patch looks cheap. I woul rather pay 20 more than getting such a crappy suit... Cmon make it right.

yeah me 2, ithought the suit looked pretty plain from the front. also, unless its hidden with folds i cant see the 'no ghost' logo on the sleeve?

Then again, It's still early So we might see better as they get closer to release. If the jumpsuit has a fake zipper at the neck, then ods are it's a shirt and pants set. i can still deal with that. The accessories ALONE make up for it.

yeah i do agree, its early yet, and these are only 'prototypes' sop iguess we should treat them as such. many changes could be made between now and the release.

i knw alot of gbcan be obsessive when it comes to the smallest detail on a 12" figure, im one of the obsessive fans so i guess it understandble frm a gb fan point of view to see floors and things that wud need changing, b ut again that being said, its a prototype.

ill still be getting them myself anyway, so no matter what i see i will be having these aswel as a custom set.

I think this new picture demonstrates that these are being made by Mattel. Their primary 1/6 scale experience is with Barbie, and the 12 inch figures that many of us have come accustomed to were made by different kinds of companies that specialize in detail and quality in a way that a mass market kid release like Barbie never had to worry much about. Honestly, I wouldn't get my hopes too high that the final product will be a vast improvement. This is an early mock-up, but I don't think they are going to scrap everything and start new. Obviously, I hope that I'm wrong.

looks like I'll just have to settle for the 6" Ghostbusters. That figure right there is NOT worth 60$.

yeah going on those pics, if thats pretty close to wha 12"ers will be like then i think thee will be afew ppl not sure.

like isay i will still get them, but by looking at those, ive seen alot more detail go into a couple of custroms ive seen around.

With Ghostbusters franchise lending its 12" licenses, hopefully Hot Toys or Sideshow will pick it up someday. We, picky collectors are spoiled by the likes of Hot Toys. There is no turning back, buying mediocre figure will not cut it anymore. :monkey5
