Another GREAT DOMINATING WIN by the Saints!

49-24! My team is now 8-3, and two games ahead of the Falcons in the N.F.C. South! :yess:

I would really like to see Saints/Packers for the NFC title. Their opening night game was great. The over/under would probably have to be close to 90.:lol

Saints defense sure as hell isn't gonna be able to stop the Packers offense, so if it happens, I hope the Saints are playing some flawless offense/special teams in that game.

We'll see about that. Remember...I'm optimistic about the Saints! :wave

They almost beat the Packers if the Saints had pushed in that last TD attempt in the fist game this season.

That run is still amazing to see. As for replays I could go my entire life without seeing ever again. Two words: David Tyree.:cuss

Now that's an interesting subject! Single plays that broke your heart... Mine would be Roger Craig's fumble in the NFC championship game in 1990. We were one fumble away from being champions three years in a row. :( I cried... I locked myself in my room and mourned. :monkey2

IF by some small miracle Denver gets into the playoffs no one is going to want to play them. As a Denver fan the only team I'd be worried about in the AFC is if Baltimore slipped to the wildcard. Otherwise I think they can handle either Pittsburgh or Cincy.

I think they could hang pretty well with Baltimore. Denver's defense looks pretty good and Baltimore's offense this year has shown an ability to go in the ____ter often this year.

Pittsburgh may me a bit harder if they score quite a bit. Then the Denver offense may have to abandon the run and rely on Tebow to throw more. Then again after that performance Monday night, who knows?:lol

I think Baltimore's run defense makes them a tad tougher for Denver than Pittsburgh...but they are both good.

I like Denver defense against the pass better than against the run, which is also why I think I'd prefer to face Pittsburgh than Baltimore.

I hate to say it, Prog, but Denver hasn't really beat anyone of note during this win streak outside of Oakland, and even the timing of that game makes the quality of the win questionable. Time will tell, of course, but the jury is still very much out.

Thats true, Flosi. We shall see. The game in a few weeks against NE is going to be telling. Of course, they could fall for a trap game against Minn this weekend.

The Jags...they really shot themselves in the foot when they passed on Tebow. Sure, maybe Gabbert will be a better QB long term, but Tebow would have filled the stadium in Jax.

I wonder if Khan will be successful at moving them to LA. I can't really see anything that will stop him.
I hope not, I doubt they would get much more attendance then they do now. Only games that would do well would be the games where they play teams that travel well and then it would be practically an away game.

If the NFL has a brain they will only do 3 things.

1 Make and expansion team so we dont get someone elses leftovers again. That could be one way to get some people who follow other teams due to lack of a current local team.

2. Bring Chargers back to LA. You have a built in fan base.

3. Bring Raiders back to LA. Same built in fan base idea and I am much less opposed to this now that Al Davis has passed.

Bringing MN or JAX would only result in bad situation again and I could see them gone in less then 10 years. Neither team would have a good built in fan base and neither are teams that would get many to change loyalty.

I LOVED that game. I grew up watching the smashmouth NFC East of the late 80's / early 90's and I loved Parcells' Giants team. The Giants couldn't find the end zone, but they found a way to win. Besides the aforementioned Craig fumble, you had Matt Bahr hitting five FGs, including the game winner, LB Gary Reasons as the upback on a fake punt taking it for a first down and pointing at the Niners' punt returner (that was Craig, too, wasn't it?) and DE Leonard Marshall absolutely CRUSHING Montana on a blindside hit. That game and the subsequent Superbowl victory over the Bills are my indelible childhood football memories.

Sorry it's a bad memory for you. :)
