He's an interesting case. He's much better than he showed this season. You really have to take into account what was in front of him. I'm sure he's looking for something more long term than his last contract. Depending on the length I could see it being somewhere in the 5-6 AAV range.

I have seen every game Price has played for the Habs since they drafted him. I really wish I could say I was wowed by him. Perhaps I was spoiled with the likes of Roy and Dryden. Even Theodore and Huet showed some flash at times. Sadly, I've never seen Price play anywhere near as good as Halak played during the playoffs a couple years ago. If the jury can still be out on Price after all these years, something may be wrong here...

I'm willing to bet the Habs will do better than 28th next season.

I wonder what kind of salary bump Price can reasonably expect for coming in 28th.
I keep wondering what people see in him. While he may be a decent goalie, I've never really been starstruck by him like I have with other premium goaltenders playing today like Miller, Ward, or Rinne.

I think Price is one of the better goalies in the league. Habs get some second line scoring and they are as good as 8th, they need better role players on the 3rd and 4th line.

I had LMAO at Burke "Pittsburgh model", this guy is a ____ing idiot and only makes me despise the Leafs more and more. As a GM you would think that he would know more about hockey. Where were the Pens w/o Crosby this and last year?? Where did they draft Letang? How did they trade for Neal and get role players like Dupuis and Cooke? Who did they pass on to take Fleury first. Burke made some poor choices and is now paying for it. I think Boston would have accepted one first rounder and a player or prospect for Kessel. The Bruins didn't even want Kessel. I think the Leafs were the only ones in the running for him. I can't see the Leafs being much better next season unless they make another splashy move.

Burke made some poor decisions, no doubt. He's also made some good trades. Though the Kessel trade stung at first...he's their best player and thanks to the Kaberle trade, it ended up really being Kessel for Seguin. As it stands now...not so bad...next year, we'll see.

I can see the Leafs going after the 1st pick...and I could also see them trading down...depending on what the highest rated goalie in the draft is. Goaltending absolutely killed this team. Mix that with Phaneuf's brain farts...and...yeah.

As a Leaf fan, its friggin sad. Year after year...sold out arena...revenue coming out their backsides. Yet, still, NOTHING. I know Leaf fans get a bad wrap (I think its more about the city of Toronto and the arena full of suits instead of blue collar fans, rather than the actual fans) but its our blind hope that keeps us going. This team has no excuse to be non-contenders since Doug Gilmour and Wendel Clark played there.

No we don't. A penalty means you get a man in the sin bin. You don't lose a guy for icing. If you meant that, just say icing or get razzed for it. My point is that first Briere goal should not have counted. It was offside.. Arguing it just makes you look silly and ignorant. If my team scores goals that shouldn't count I would admit to it.
