Hey Prax, my next joy in life would be to see Martin traded for another scoring fwd. Even if we have to package him up with Kennedy and/or a pick. Unfortunately there is nothing really available or worth going after. Nah, at this point all we need is a healthy Crosby and we're set for a great Stanley Cup Playoff run.

Uhh, there is a kid from a town called Markham 20mins away from me who played in the GTHL..Steven Stamkos, heard of him?. XD

Ummm, it's only 3 years buddy. Ovechkin at one point in his career had more than that and now he's a 30-35 goal scorer. Of course not forever, but he sure has been playing like one in the past two years. Even Stamkos won't keep it up. 3 years in 3 years is amazing, but lets see if he goes 10 in 10. Or heck, 7 in 7 or even 5 in 5, first. Deal?

Also, don't make me face palm you, because that post came close to the face palming emoticon. This is not the 1980's my friend. Nobody gets 100 point seasons year-in and year-out, unless you're a healthy Crosby and that hasn't sure been happening. Different hockey era. Much tighter. Much more physically aggressive, and far more hectic schedule.

Also, don't make me face palm you, because that post came close to the face palming emoticon. This is not the 1980's my friend. Nobody gets 100 point seasons year-in and year-out, unless you're a healthy Crosby and that hasn't sure been happening. Different hockey era. Much tighter. Much more physically aggressive, and far more hectic schedule.

And again, we'll see if that continues happening. He'll definitely have 40-50 goal seasons beyond these past 3 seasons, but to say he'll do it every year is being a bit over zealous on the gears. Perhaps you want to ease up on the throttle of your excite bike there Valfar.

Not true. That is Evgeni Malkin, if you want to go by your logic. Look at who gets the media attention. While Stamkos gets quite a bit this year, Malkin has received much more.

Who's higher on the lists this year? Malkin and rightfully so.

The more correct thing would have been to say, "Stamkos is one of the many faces of the NHL." Or has Crosby, Malkin, and Ovechkin dropped off the face of the Earth in your world? Yikes. Even Claude Giroux is now one of those many faces you can add to the discussion.

I don't know what happened to Martin. He and Z did quite well last year, but not so much this one. Martin will be tough to move with his limited NTC and Kennedy's high ankle sprain may keep him out of action until after the deadline is passed. I don't know who would actually want either at this point to be honest. Martin more so because of his play this year vs his contract. Either way we would have to take on salary in return for him. I was all for moving Kennedy last year when his stock was at its highest.. Too little, too late..

I was somewhat OK with what you were saying until that line. Uh... no.. Great goal scorer and talented, but no where near the complete player Malkin is. Stamkos is much like Brett Hull great goal scorer, above average playmaker... (kinda looks like him too in a way)

Guy has 30 wins for a reason, and every goalie (just as any player) will have lapses. You know better. Yes, he has a great team in front of him, but he makes the big saves that are needed to keep us in games. Sometimes his defense hangs him to dry.

As for our labels, you guys are more-so the troll variety vs. the sack label you gave me, because I am simply only there in defense of the guy. To be honest I never said he is the best goalie out there. Or even top 5. I simply came to his defense, which has been a lot I admit because he gets far too much negative criticism his way from you and the Craw, which isn't warranted. He isn't going to win a Vezina any time soon, but he was the 4th or 5th fastest to 200 wins by a goalie. He's been to the show twice and has won a Cup for us. He stole that game for us that led to the Cup victory. He keeps our team honest and has been quite capable in his end, putting us near the top each year in the standings. That has to count for something. In the end, you guys are repetitive, and this song and dance is a long-winded and boring one.

Find a new whipping boy. Hey, how about someone who deserves it this season, like I dunno... Tyler Kennedy or Paul Martin? If you guys actually really followed the Pens games and watched closely, you would see those guys have not been exactly stellar for us.

Or better yet, simply don't chew on your own team's players. Be a fan, which is supporting your players and rooting them on. Not tearing them a part. Being a fan should be constructive and positive. As hard as that is to set out and accomplish it is something that should be done, as the true definition and meaning of a fan, is to like something and have an appreciation for it.

No, it's called hockey talk. And I am not upset. My passion is only on the forum. Off of it you guys are the furthest thing from my mind. Women, food, working out, buying stuff I don't need, going out with friends, and my school occupy that head space. So one could say you're taking this too far. But yes, you guys are a tad bit annoying when it comes to Fleury. Is it the only thing you guys can discuss? btw The Craw knows I mean nothing personal by it. We have had that discussion in private. So why are you?

If you want you can simply add me to ignore if it bugs you that much. I mean, we can't take things too seriously on here, eh?
