Tampa just got a whole lot better....

The Tampa Bay Lightning have reportedly traded forward Steve Downie to the Colorado Avalanche for defenseman Kyle Quincey.

TSN's Bob McKenzie reported the trade via his Twitter account on Tuesday afternoon.

The 24-year-old Downie has 12 goals and 28 points in 55 games with the Lightning this season. Quincey has 5 goals and 23 points in 54 games with the Avalanche.

Well that was fast....

Lightning trade D Kyle Quincey to Red Wings for 2012 1st-Round draft pick.

Quincy got traded for a 1st rounder plus a defenseman prospect.

I wonder if Gautier feels even more like a moron now. Someone please call Bell and have his phone disconnected.
I'm also starting to lose faith in Jeff Molson. This guy, so far anyway, is turning out to be a joke of a president.

Pretty good deal for both Tampa and Wings, but Colorado definitely got screwed with having Downie in the end :lol

The whole team is a joke, why the ____ is Gomez still in the line up???

Tonights game was a farce

Huge win for the Pens though, calling it now, Rags dont win the division, Pens, Flyers or Devils will win it

:cuckoo:

He smells like cheese ever since he cut off his hockey hair.

Why does Philly always have the ugliest uniforms in the league?
Their jerseys are ok except for the different colored nameplates. It reminds me of some community hockey league where they can't afford new jerseys. So you get some recycled jersey with tape over the old name and your name written on top with a sharpie. Nameplates should always match the jersey fabric. Always.

Remember when they wore the long style ringette pants? :rotfl:rotfl:rotfl

Intense Jets game. Too bad they didn't get the W. Love the 4 PPGs. Sweet!

Also, the Flyers jersey of today are trying to mimic the old 70's jerseys. I like it. Just not a fan of the jerseys with the numbers on the front with or w/o the logo.. actually, with the logo it's far too cluttered. Damn you USA fans for not being able to read numbers properly. We need a puck trail because we can't see the puck. Get some glasses then! :nana:

You mean Cooperalls?.
