An Evil Collector?
I don't care the reason for voting against as long as Obama doesn't get in. In all probability he will, but it ain't over till it's over. I'm buying an AR-15 this weekend just in case.
So did Obama drop the amount from $250k to $200k now? And Biden is saying $150k? Those couple got to put their ^^^^ together. Anyways doesn't matter, they can say $42,000 like Obama said at the start. McCains going to come out as the winner.
While Obama has suggested no such tax hike, he in fact did vote in favor of a nonbinding budget resolution establishing a framework that would have raised taxes on people making as little as $42,000.
"Budget resolutions don't have a whole lot of specifics in them," explained Ben Harris, an economist with the Brookings Institute who has studied both candidates' tax plans.
There are so many distortions and/or misunderstandings in the above it's not really worth responding.But...
Those who have a net income of between $200 - 250K won't get a tax cut. Those making over $250K will see an increase. Those making under $200K will get a tax cut.
I give up. He says on his own site that his govt. is going to pay out more money in tax relief then will bring in with his tax hikes. I don't understand how his supporters can't see that the numbers don't add up. I've said it before DD. I'm a simple blue collar worker. I don't have a degree, I have a high school diploma. From your post I've read you seem like a succesful person in whatever field your in. How you cannot see that what he promises CANNOT be accomplished the way he presents it is a mystery.I'd love for you to explain the distortions or misunderstandings surrounding comrade Obama's 94 congressional votes for either increasing taxes or preventing tax relief.
I think if Chairman Mao-bama wins this election it will be because of every young person just out of high school, or in college, or just plain lazy and unemployed, or working some deadend job has put him over the top.
American's who are older, and wiser, and who have more life experience under their belts realize what a person says [esp. when it comes to politicians] isn't important. It's what they do that is important. And I'm pretty sure Dave even you've heard the term "actions speak louder than words". So before you try and dazzle us concerning the distortions and misunderstandings surrounding Barack "I'm a tax cutter" Obama's taxation plan why don't you go and take a good hard look at his record on taxation.
“Critics are wondering, what happened to the old John McCain?” Stephen Colbert said. “Wait a minute. There’s an older John McCain?”
Craig Ferguson of CBS’ “Late Late Show”: “At this point, it’s a race to see what drops faster — the stock market or John McCain’s poll numbers.”
Letterman: “John McCain said he’s going to win (the third presidential debate). Of course, he also told Custer the surge was working.”
Leno: “According to a recent poll, 61 percent of people surveyed said they’d rather see Sarah Palin in a bikini than Pamela Anderson. Although 99 percent said they’d rather see Pamela Anderson as vice president.”
"Political experts say that John McCain's only chance of winning the election next week is to attract swing voters. Unfortunately, McCain thinks swing voters are people who listen to Glenn Miller."
— Conan O'Brien, NBC's "Late Night"
"They say now that Barack Obama is so far ahead in the polls, that the only way he could mess up the election is if he ... got rid of Joe Biden and replaced him with Andy D^^^."
— David Letterman, CBS's "The Late Show"
"McCain may be behind but the man is a fighter. He doesn't know the meaning of the word quit. He used to, but it was stored in the same part of his brain that remembered to vet his running mate."
— Stephen Colbert, Comedy Central's "The Colbert Report"
"The other day, a guy who played a game of basketball against Barack Obama said that Obama spent the whole game ‘trash talking.' He also said Obama's trash-talking is eloquent, high-minded and inspirational."
— O'Brien
"Today in Alaska the Anchorage Daily News, Alaska's largest newspaper, guess who they endorsed: Barack Obama. I know! That's another newspaper Sarah Palin will never read."
— Craig Ferguson, CBS's "The Late Late Show."
"Sarah Palin has spent $150,000 on clothes. $150,000 on clothes. I'm telling ya, it would have been cheaper if McCain had picked Ellen Barkin. But that's nothing. She's got an even higher tab at LensCrafters."
— Letterman
