I just bought a RAH ROTS Vader to join my Medicom troops and his ROTJ brother. :) And SS Vader (and stormies) will come as well. One can never have too many Vaders

Oddly enough, having Sideshow Vader ordered is making me want the Medicom one even more. I am fully intending to order him. But I want to wait until the right situation comes up to get him. I want a never-opened one. And I'll need to wait a few weeks for that until this new project at work kicks in some overtime.

I think with the SSC Vader coming, I'm more likely to display my Medicom Vader with the helmet off.

I am looking forward to having Each of the Vaders displayed with their respective Stormtroopers. Different setups, of course.

The Medi Vader is a great figure... but I've decided I need to just pick a pony and go with it. And for me Sideshow is leading the way. Also, nice that I was able to sell the Medi one loose for more than the Sideshow version costs :rock

i was also thinking of selling my medicom rots vader but i think i'll wait till ssc vader comes out.

No matter how awesome the SS Vader ends up I don't foresee it affecting the Medi's resale value.

Why do you think that?

More product can dilute the market, lowering the price. As you can see in this very thread, people are beginning to dump their Medi-Vaders now that SS is coming out with one.

As always, I like to put a disclaimer in my post when I discuss the secondary market, because I can be totally wrong :lol

...when the Medi might have little resale value. :nono

ya got me!!! no in all seriousness, as much i like my medi vader, which is awesome, i too would also like to stick with just one vader due to lack of space. i really dont want to get rid of my medicom vader and probably wont, but we still have a couple of months till ssc vader comes out so........i'll wait and see what happens.

Im one of the ones that will be dumping my Medi Vader soon. I actually really like my Medi Vader but he's way too short! I feel like I have to go with SS just by default....

Medi Vader looks great so long as he stays with the other SW Medi figs.

I'd have to disagree with this. The Star Wars Medicom line doesn't hold their value particularly well. And once there's a nice alternative to a 1/6th Vader (that even happens to be the right scale), I don't think Medicom's Vader will continue to sell well on the secondary market. Luke, Boba, Jango, clones, and stormtroopers all generally sell for quite a bit below retail now.

They are two totally different products with somewhat different target audiences.

ROTS Vader does not equal ANH Vader does not equal ROTJ Vader.

No one said it did. But most people picked up one of the Medicom versions to have a nice representation of Vader in 1/6th. Once a better product comes along in an accurate size, how many people are still going to want 2-3 versions of Vader? My bets on not a lot, and all the extra Medicoms start ending up on eBay with the price dropping because the average person who wants just one Vader will prefer Sideshow's offering.
